This hospital is awesome. The staff is very friendly, great bedside manners. Food is good. Rochelle and Michelle are awesome nurses. We were back in the hospital, Myron's PCA Sharon is one of the best. Also his nurse John did an awesome job as well. This is 8 West. The best staff. (a month ago)

They saved my life when I tried to kill myself in November of 2012. I died twice on the table in the process. However they didn’t take the situation seriously at first and I was pushed aside to a hall bed while my boyfriend watched me die. I will never forget coming in and out of it and seeing his desperate eyes. Once I was out of ER and I woke up with all the tubes in my throat and no immediate memory of why I was there or what happened I was treated by a nurse who then taunted me by making comments like “ oh are you going through withdrawal?” And a bit of laughter when I became panicked by my new found attachments. 3 stars for keeping me alive but the staff is the rudest and after a traumatic experience where I REMEMBER DYING this women treats me like that?!?! Thank you for my life but you guys needs some serious help. How DARE you! Oh and to the nurse who spoke to me like that... I do remember your name (Michelle) and I think you should not be a nurse. Very rude nurses and doctors, not helpful at all. Did not have a good experience and will not be returning again for any emergency. (in the last week)

I was at the hospital visiting someone and I was appalled at how filthy the entire hospital was as a whole. There wasn't a doctor or nurse to be found when wandering around the ICU. Just PCA's and they were rude and not the least bit compassionate . 45 minutes after my friend rang her nurse call button because she was falling out of her bed the PCA comes in and says "it's not a good time right now we're busy at this time of day. I'll try and find some people though". (It was the middle of the afternoon on a Friday?!.....not the middle of the night.) BTW...no one ever came and I was there over 2 hours. It was a horror show. They didn't bathe or clean my friend regularly or appropriately. They didn't change the linen and she is bed bound so her linens get soiled more often. I have been in many medical facilities with my own health issues and by far I believe this hospital should be reported to authorities or better yet just closed. People rely on clean medical facilities with diligent and empathetic staff. This is NOT one of those facilities. My heart goes out to those who are forced to seek treatment here. (4 months ago)

The worst emergency department experience of my lifetime. Came in due to asthma attack, cop at door made me wait (young and dumb). ER doctor rushed. Only saving grace was respiratory tech who knew what she was doing. Actually saw nurse spinning around on chair at station. Pharmacist was clueless with regards to meds ordered. Put a sticky note on the prescriptions and had me return to ER to get them clarified. Insurance did not cover any of them. Left and went to another hospital after suffering another attack. Joke of a hospital. Should be closed. (4 months ago)
