I never give reviews, but my daughter had to go to the ER last night and we and everyone else surrounding us got outstanding care. The entire staff was caring, friendly, informative and I’d give them 6 stars if I could. I’ll definitely go back. Thank you to every staff member who made our visit pleasant. 🤗 (a month ago)

I had the unfortunate experience of waiting in this hospital for hours tonight, and came back because they did not send me home with pain medicine. The staff here is ignorant and rude and act like they don’t care while sitting on their behinds. To clarify, after I checked in the first time, which was for an eye injury that leaves me unable to see temporarily in my right eye and hurts badly (scratched by dog, ripped my iris) I was in the waiting room and it was taking a while for me to be seen. I couldn’t open my left eye either even though it was untouched because it put too much strain on my right eye from the movement. I went to the check-in area and nicely asked when I would be seen because it was excruciating and I could not see. The girls at the check-in area acted like they didn’t care. After my eye was examined the doctors did not send me home with any painkillers even though I was in excruciating pain and was having a panic attack and they did nothing for me. I came back a second time only to wait for two hours while having a another panic attack and being unable to see anything with my eyes screwed shut in excruciating pain. After two hours of waiting the second time, my husband and I left. The staff here didn’t give me anything to calm down or take the pain away and were useless in every way, and acted as if they didn’t care about me even though I am literally temporarily blind right now. This place is absolutely horrific. I have heard bad things about this place, but actually experiencing it is even worse. We were sent here (not by choice) by ambulance after my wife had a seizure. She had postpartum eclampsia and the ER and ICU doctors had absolutely no idea how to treat her and did things that not only were unnecessary and caused undue suffering, but could have killed her. I even had an ICU resident admit they were unsure of what they were doing. Instead of listening to the OB team (you know, the experts on conditions of pregnancy), they did things that didn't make sense. My wife's OB (out of Henry Ford Macomb) even said they were idiots and they did things that made absolutely no sense. If you are having a baby, please think twice about delivering out of a hospital who is unsure of how to take care of you if something goes wrong. We are in the process of filing complaints to the Michigan Medical Board against the doctors. Filing a complaint at the hospital is of no good either because they deny and say they did everything correctly. However, discussions with OB and MFM doctors tell me their treatment was not only unnecessary, but dangerous as well. Don't take your loved one here! (in the last week)

I wasn't sure about how many stars to give. I've been to the hospital many times and have had positive experiences. I have many friends that work there as well. Most of them have positive things to say. I had to have a sleep study. My doctor recommended Macomb and I was more than happy to go there. If I could give five stars for the lab itself I would. The lab was nice and the techs were all very friendly and helpful. BUT, getting through the GATEKEEPER is another story. Daniella never answers her phone. I say never as I have called several times only to have it go to voicemail. My study was towards the end of the year and I had met my deductible so I wanted to get in soon. That didn't happen. When I finally got to talk to her she was rude to me and rather dismissive of my concerns. My friends at the hospital told me they asked around and it is common knowledge among the scheduling type people that she is awful. If she answered the phone and wasn't rude, it would be five stars all the way. Would I go back? Yes, I probably would, just because of the sleep center staff. She is just awful. (3 months ago)

Dr. Patrick Flaherty was awesome. Staff very friendly, fast service. Thank you for taking care of me... (in the last week)
