The only reason why I’m giving it two stars which it really doesn’t deserve is because the nurse assistant was extremely nice. They need to update their registration system which they write on a piece of paper. Wait time is ridiculous, sat over 3 hours in excruciating pain just to get prescribed pain relievers. I’m sure if your a black person and younger at that the doctors will assume you drink and do drugs, which is not the case for me but his repetitive questioning insinuated that I did. PROFILING AT ITS BEST. I see they let anyone practice there. Not everyone is doctor material. (a month ago)

Best hospital in Hampton Roads, hands down. My grandfather is in the ICU with a ventilator, which is very scary for the family. The doctors have been with us from day 1. Also, I was born here so I've basically known the hospital from the beginning of my life. Thank you Mary Immaculate! The family will continue to use you for our emergency and other healthcare needs. The E.R. staff made my 5 year old daughter feel very secure. They were extremely nice and caring. She loved her doctor and nurse team. (3 months ago)

I would of given it 5 stars if they hadn't of lied or if they would of listened to me. I came in wanting natural. One nurse made me feel like I was supposed to just breath without making noise. It ended up making me ask for an epidural at 6 cm. I recieved it at 7cm. No one looked at the signs that I was in emense pain. I was on all fours at 9 cm feeling my 8lb 13oz baby drop and I was feeling my legs and everything. I told them I could feel it and was ignored. I pushed her out on my back in less than 30min. I wanted her out! I felt a fire burning pressure. It wasn't over after that. I almost hemmoraged and began shaking heavily. 2 midwives sewed my 2nd degree tear. No local. Nurse told me it wasn't connected right, but neglected to tell anyone else. Also still had to pay for it. Hospital is fine but just had a bad nurse. (4 weeks ago)

I am sitting here for the second time this week where one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. I've been to Riverside and Sentara numerous times since Jan. I waste more time at this facility for nothing and staff argues that I received wrong instructions. Sadly I am having a procedure with a surgeon here but I will not come here again. There are facilities all over the peninsula to choose. I laugh when I see the awards they've won. Obviously resting on their laurels. (2 months ago)
