I want to the ER for GI pain. The only test that were done was blood work and that required four sticks to get my blood. No assessment was done by the doctor or nurse. No past medical history was taken. The only thing that was done is I was given a GI cocktail. That is basically nothing. Nobody came in to ask if it worked or if my pain is gone down. I would advise not going to this hospital if you value your life. (a week ago)

I was greatly by friendly staff at the ER on Wednesday June 13,2018 by friendly and fast staff. I went in thinking I had a kidney stone ....I was in a ER room within 20 minutes and diagnosed immediately. The nurse, nurse practitioner and the doctor were spot on!! A+++ from start to finish. Thank you Manatee Memorial Hospital!! (a month ago)

I was born at Manatee Memorial Hospital and have the privilege of working at this amazing facility. The staff and physicians are engaged, kind, and provide exceptional care to our patients, families and community. Thank you Manatee Memorial for being a top notch healthcare provider in our community. (in the last week)

Absolutely horrific! I was brought in via ambulance with really bad chest pains. I have had Type 1 Diabetes for over 45 years so heart disease is a major concern. While in the hospital not one time did a doctor come in to see me other than to poke his head in the door to say, "I don't know anything yet. Once I do I will come back." He never did. About an hour later a nurse came in to get something from the room and said, "You can go now." I was taken off the IV and EKG by a Technician who gave me. Two page paper with test results, some high and some low. Never an explanation. He said, "I think they think it could be Reflux." He gave me generic papers on Chest Pain with everything from Lung Issues to Anxiety to Reflux. Never an explanation. I have since spoken with my physicians who are on staff at the hospital mentioning to them that I may have to find physicians who practice at Sarasota Memorial because I would not return to Manatee Memorial EVER! I called the hospital and received a letter stating that they reviewed my care and it was dreamed "appropriate." I have contacted the main Corporation to report my disgust. (a month ago)

My son was recently a patient on floor 2T and nurse Ronnie was very compassionate and thorough. He made sure my son was comfortable and that the techs checked his blood sugar routinely. However, nurse Matt was very rude. Although he was aware that my son had diabetes and was unable to see, he didn't make sure his needs were met as a patient. No one checked his blood sugar or even asked for that matter. (2 months ago)
