Years ago my now ex wife and i took our daughter in because she had a constant fever. This was around 2010 my daughter was 2 years old. We were told that her fever was the result of H1N1 and to give her children's Motrin and Tylenol for the fever. We took her back a week later when the fever still hadn't yet gone and we were told there same thing again. My daughter began to get super skinny from not being able to keep food down, like hug her and feel her ribs skinny. We had bloodwork done on her at a different hospital and THEY found that her white blood cell count was through the roof. They thought she had lukemia. Definitely NOT H1N1. It was through a trip to Iowa City to the hospital at the University of Iowa that my daughter had a bone marrow test done to prove she had Systemic Juvenile Inflammatory Rhumathoid Arthritis. Hey body was attacking itself. Her organs were SHUTTING DOWN and you idiots told us it was just the goddamn flu. If we listened to you our little girl would have DIED. I wish I could give you negative stars because you don't deserve to even have a hospital as much of a bandaid station as you are. GET BETTER AT WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE FOR. HEALTHCARE IS NOT AN INSTANCE WHERE 'CLOSE ENOUGH' WORKS!!!!! (a month ago)

Worst hospital I’ve ever been to. Behavioral health is awful and I wouldn’t go there even if I had no where else to go. I’ll take my health concerns to pella regional. (3 weeks ago)

2+ hours waiting in the room to see a doctor and you can hear the nurses complaining about there patients, Open the door and they freak out on you to keep it shut. Seriously go to iowa city if it's at medical emergency or else your more likely to die waiting for a doctor. (a week ago)

This isn't a fair way to rate a hospital as it has different departments and I've had different experiences with each one. In the ER I've had tender care, but I remind myself they are there for acute services not diagnosis. Overall we've had a good experience (4 months ago)

Very compassionate staff. PT is awesome and lots of options with walk-in clinics now. (4 months ago)
