Location and Directions

I can say from multiple personal experiences, Legacy Mt. Hood is an Excellent Hospital. Very Compassionate Staff. Short Wait times, I mean they do the best they can. If its busy, it's busy. I have been to the ER there several times over the past 5 years. I have some health issues and have had to visit several times. As well as having 3 kids, 2/boys. One visit for Stitches for my 6-year-old This past Friday to be exact. Dr. Berger, I may be spelling that wrong. But I have had him a few times, and he did the stitches for my Son on Friday. Amazing Doctor! He's wonderful at his Job, very Good with kids. Straightforward, Compassionate, Very Intelligent! Not to mention very Funny, always happy to make you laugh. He mentioned he had worked there for 17 years. I really appreciate people like him. I also work in the medical field and can spot a true Hero when I see one. Dr. Berger deserves all the kudos he can get. Amazing Doctor! All the negative reviews on here sadden me, but everyone has their own interpretations or views. But mine personally, I go here always when I am in need of help. Because let me tell you... Over a month ago, I personally had to call 911 and was taken by ambulance. Legacy was not taking any ambulance traffic at that time and we were rerouted to Adventist. Now if anyone thinks Legacy Mt. Hood is a bad place. Which it is not, its amazing! Try going to Adventist. Then tell me how you feel about Legacy. Adventist is the Worst Hospital in Portland. Behind OHSU, Legacy Mt.Hood is the absolute Best! (a month ago)

I love this place. I’ve been hospitalized twice with pneumonia and they took your good care of me. Sometimes you make me laugh. Emergency room was of course I had to wait because there was more critical patients that needed care like one patient was they were trying to keep him alive and I was just going to be admitted. So priority is their first commitment and they took good care of me. I give them a five (a month ago)

Came in for a blood draw today and Lisa was absolutely awesome. Best and most painless blood draw I ever had. Quick, efficient and kind. Also the facility was clean and they were able to see me within minutes. Thank you! (2 months ago)

Went on a Sunday night after being in major lower abdominal pain that was progressing to my back and spine. The pain went from 0 to 10 in less than an hour so we went to the ER. I couldn't stand, walk, sit without escruciating pain. I was in so much pain I was vomiting. The staff told me to go wait. I was screaming in pain thinking my appendix burst or I had a gall stone. I was in the lobby crying in pain begging for help for 30 minutes then the put in a little room with chairs and was told a check in nurse would see me soon. Basically they put me there to shut me up. Another 30 minutes past and me begging for help and puking. This was so inhumane to be ignored. No one checking in on me or anything. Finally a lady walks in and said i need to calm down there are no beds and that's she wasn't giving me medication. With my puke bag in hand, I YELLED I just want'm hurting please. I'm begging you. This is cruel how you guys are ignoring me. Out of sight it if mind. I just want to see a doctor so I know what's wrong. I'm scared!!! I didn't ask for med! I just want help. Don't stuff me in a room to shut me up. I'm still crying and screaming in pain. Lady then told me to go back to the lobby and wait. I could hear other staff in the hallway laughing. So almost an hour and a half no doctor or nurse. I'm laying on the floor in the lobby screaming, up on a chair, walking, Etc trying to get past the pain. I had my son look up other hospitals because I couldn't take their lack of concern. Finally got hack into a room. The pain would ease to a 9 then shoot to 100. Over and over. We waited for about 20 minutes before the doc came in and said sounds like a kidney stone and walks out. Cool. So now what????? I was so tired. My son was tired. Finally got an IV. I finally shut down I was so exhausted. Truly don't even remember anything they said after that. So glad my son was there to help me. That was the longest 6 hours of my life. IF EVER I AM IN NEED OF EMERGENCY CARE, I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. I'LL DRIVE ALL THE WAY TO A PROVIDENCE OR OHSU. THIS HOSPITAL LACKS SERIOUS STAFFING AND COMPASSION. MY MOTHER WORKED IN AN ER IN EASTERN OREGON HOSPITAL AND BELIEVE ME THAT HOSPITAL IS AMAZING. LEGACY MT HOOD HOSP IS A JOKE!! THEY NEED SOME SERIOUS SENSITIVITY AND COMMUNICATION CLASSES. I FELT LIKE A DOG IN A CATTLE CALL AND WAS READY TO BE EUTHANIZED. (2 months ago)

This is a one of the best hospitals around! The best care. The best staff. So friendly, caring and professional. I spent 4 days there and I am very impressed with the high level of professionalism. (4 months ago)
