This emergency center is horrible. Maybe I've been spoiled by going to clean hospitals where the staff is organized, and the customer service is on point. Because this is the exact opposite. People playing with cockroaches in the lobby, staff mumbling and not communicating what's being done, and then taking forever just to get seen. Needs lots of work!!!! However the OR area is fabulous. The people are knowledgeable and very kind. Just get rid of the emergency center and start over. (a month ago)

Nurses at this hospital are some of the most rude nurses you will run into in the Rio Grande Valley. It is a shame since there are some excellent nurses working here as well. If possible, avoid this hospital and opt for a more professional establishment where they will treat you with the attention, care, and respect that you deserve as a patient. (4 weeks ago)

Worst hospital I have ever been too, and I've been to quite a few. The operating doctor and 1 nurse were good and that was the ONLY good thing there. The rest of the staff were HORRIBLE. Staff is extremely slow and just don't give a damn. The absolute rudest staff EVER. I even had one nurse straight up ignore me when I was talking to her face to face. Staff should be required to take professional development on patient care. I would NEVER go here again, and I would NEVER recommend this hospital, even if I were dying I would drive the extra 15 minutes to Edinburg or McAllen. (4 weeks ago)

FOR CHILD DELIVERY: GO TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL. Our bad experience is our fault because we didn't check the reviews on this place. When we checked "2.6/5!", it was too late, we were already in the process of delivery. We selected it because it was close to our house. And, since we are new in town we didn't know better. Although the staffs are very friendly, they are very disorganized, and the service doesn’t look standardized. Some nurses are very kind and gentle, others treat you like a cow. The most critical aspect was lack of monitoring. They didn't have a routine to check my progress. For that reason, I entered into active labor and they didn't even notice. I had to scream very loud to let the staff know I was in extreme pain. All the nurses came running (now I laugh about this moment), and then I hear a nurse to say "she is 8 cm dilated". In 10 minute the baby was out. To make things even worst I was under the influence of a strong sleepy-drug (no for pain). This was given to me one hour before. Now, do you see the picture!?, I was sleepy, in pain, and delivering at the same time. Quite an experience!, don't you think!. Thank God, my baby came healthy and without complications. However, our long-planned stem cell collection was compromised. They collected less than 20 ml, hardly enough. I don’t blame anybody, but certainly, it was because of the “Lack of monitoring” and “lack of organization”. That hospital doesn’t have state of art facilities. The place looks old and it is low tech. I wouldn’t mind those if the service was good. But in our case, it wasn’t. After the delivery, they gave us a room to rest that was smelly to sewer water and had some pluming deficiencies. At least they gave us another room after requesting with it. I hope my comment is useful to you. Based on my experience I would not recommend it. I thought I was biased because of my previous good experiences in other hospitals. But after reading the reviews on this hospital, I think the problem is generalized to everybody. I hope the manager of this hospital read this comment. This place needs serious management intervention. You guys need to standardize the service and increase quality. Remodeling it and increasing tech might be too expensive. But, improving service is a no-brainer and inexpensive, so there is no excuse for the managerial team. (a month ago)

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Grandson was misdiagnosed. According to all the test, he was released and they told his mother that everything came back negative. Next day family doctor diagnosed him with the flu. Unbelievable!!! I'm definitely going to address this to the medical board. I am so disappointed with this stupid hospital. State representative will also hear about this for sure. (4 months ago)
