Nurses need EXTENSIVE training on patient empathy and overall care. Tending to a seriously injured patient should be more important than doing a report. There are a few who generally care and value their jobs but the other 80% care nothing about anything other than getting paid. Felt I had to stay a few nights to make sure my loved one was cared for properly and regularly. (a month ago)

At best. Parking is too far from building. Not enough elevators , and they are SLOW. Pharmacy is always packed, and the waits are long. I do mail order refills whenever I can. I thunk this center was built in anticipation for socialized medicine, which I hope never happens, because we’re all just going to die. (4 months ago)

Just went to pick up a patient at the main entrance who was released for congestive heart failure and was yelled at by a vendor who felt it was more important to get his truck through to his stand. It was so crowded with vendors that it was almost impossible to double park in the patient loading zone. Shame on you Kaiser for placing this farmers market in front of your main entrance. It would make more sense to corner off a section of your very large parking lot so that patients can get in and out of your hospital. Very poorly planned and executed. (2 months ago)

Kaiser has become my best friend after saving my life I am always made to feel I am important at Kaiser I am grateful for Kaiser (2 months ago)

OK! It's new. If you could remove the 'wow' from your thinking for just a moment, I can maybe justify 2 stars instead of the 1 star i was going to give it. I have been a patient of the medical system HJ Kaiser dreamt of for almost 25 years. My long-term companion was until recently the Chief of Plastic Surgery at KP San Francisco where he did incredible work as a member of The Permanente Medical Group. It was Nursing Leadership (and their cowtowing to the foreign-born RN's) that I was disappointed in. From the moment I walked into this (albeit, beautiful) place, the image of what I thought was HJK vision began to fall apart before my very eyes. Kaiser talks of diversity....there is NONE. Kaiser says they want you to THRIVE....this actually translates into: we don't want to you sick because then we have to pay for it. It was here, during rounds, that I heard an RN say to a patient "if your ride isn't here by 6pm to pick you up, you will be responsible for your entire stay at this hospital" a liar, call me anything you want but I am doing nothing but forewarning you. Choose differently and maybe you will THRIVE. Peace, GSAA. (2 months ago)
