Clean and orderly. That's about all. Waited 9 hrs finally got a room. Stayed two days. Sent home same way I came in. Went to St Francis in Hartford within half hour was diagnosed and had a room . Will never go to Johnson again even if I'm across the street bleeding from being hit by car, I'll crawl yo St Francise. (4 weeks ago)

I unfortunately had to be seen in the ER today, but was pleasantly shocked by the experience here. The staff were professional, courteous, and quick; I was honestly in and out of there within half an hour. The doctor was super nice and clearly takes the time to continue educating himself on new medical advances. The entire place was clean, and there wasn’t one moment where I didn’t feel I wasn’t being completely taken care of. A+! (5 months ago)

I had an accident yesterday.. yes I am fine but since I work for the government they made me go on ambulance to Johnson’s ER! I felt like I was a bother to them... I kept telling them I had glass every where in my pants even. They never bother to check or offer to clean me up! I finally asked for pants since mine were cut straight all along front legs while in ambulance.. they told me they had no pants?!?!? Then she brings me a Motrin and tells me they don’t have cups so she brought me water in the little cup they bring you pills in?!?! The third doctor comes in and said I’d be discharged I told him my headache hasn’t got better in fact it got worst then HE asked me if I wanted a cat scan?!?!? Huh??? Aren’t you the doctor??? So while waiting for my girlfriend to pick me up WITH PANTS they came in and saw I had to sit in a wheelchair in the hallway they needed the room! I am beyond disgusted with that place and the service!!! (2 months ago)

The ER here is excellent, and they have some of the best emergency doctors and nurses around. Unlike a city hospital, the wait times aren't usually very long. On the other hand, I hate being admitted here because the standard of care seems to be lower than it is at St Francis or Hartford Hospital. For many years, JMH had a reputation as "the place you go to die," and on the occasions when I was admitted it has seemed that they are still struggling to get over that. (5 months ago)

The longest wait times I have ever had to deal with. Fiancé is super sick can barely move and all we can do is sit and listen to the ER staff talk about very inappropriate things. Waited for 2 hours listening to that very unprofessional nurses behind the desk in the ER. (4 months ago)
