Took a family member in for High blood pressure and panic attack. Wait was not long. Staff polite and helpful. Doctor knowledgeable and concerned and made sure the patient was stable and wrote out scripts to help. Thank you for being there. (a month ago)

My daughter took my four year old granddaughter to the Johnson county ER with sore throat, fever, aching and lethargy. She was seen by a Doctor Jasper. As soon as he entered her room he informed my daughter that he had the flu himself!! He informed my daughter that they were encouraging people to stay home if they had symptoms of the flu to prevent the spread of the flu but I assume from his actions that he felt it was perfectly fine for him to treat patients himself even though he admitted that he had it!!! Although his mouth was covered with a mask he was still in close proximity of my granddaughter. He didn't use a probe cover when he checked her ears and the initial swab for the flu came back negative so he of course wouldn't prescribe tamiflu. He refused to swab her throat for strep because he said there were no white patches on her throat. She was sent home with nothing except exposure to the flu!!! So today after being seen by a competent physician my granddaughter has been diagnosed with strep throat and the flu!!!! The doctor was completely negligent and put everyone he came in contact with at risk including my poor little granddaughter!! I have witnessed first hand the way a lot of the staff there treat people from this community and it's pretty apparent that as far as doctors are concerned, they scrape the bottom of the barrel when they staff our ER. They are either rude or incompetent or both but they definitely think very poorly of the people in this area. We are nothing more than dumb redneck hick mountain people, so quality healthcare isn't a must in our community or at least that is my take on healthcare in this area. Now all I can do is pray that my precious granddaughter gets better and my other grandchildren don't end up sick too!!! (3 months ago)

Just a quick note to say UBER is here in Mountain City. Download the app and request a ride. ๐Ÿš— Use referral code. ebzc4vbjue (6 months ago)

I have to be on blood thinner due to mechanical valves and I get my PT/INR labs drawn here at least two times a month. The staff is friendly, efficient and as good if not better than when I drove in to Johnson City. The best part is I do not have to leave and be gone most of the day. Not every small town still has their local hospital. I am grateful Mountain City's is still open for business! (11 months ago)

rudest bunch of people ever! sat for 4 hours waiting in my room, no one explained why, while the nurses sat talking and laughing. and they werent even busy. Finally left and went to boone (11 months ago)
