Anytime I have had to visit this hospital, the staff seems more focused on getting people in and out rather than if they’re actually okay. I was recently slipped something while out, don’t remember falling, having an ambulance called and being admitted to the hospital and I woke up in a hospital bed with blood still all over my face. The doctors and nurses continued to ask me accusatory questions when I woke up, CLEARLY groggy and not the normal hangover-y symptoms (which they should probably be able to recognize?), despite telling them I don’t remember anything, I actually drank less than I usually do when out so I was most likely drugged and said that to all of them multiple times. They said something about lab tests being a hassle but if “that was really the route I wanted to go” that they’d “look into it”. I found this experience really disturbing and I just got off the phone with them to see how to go about getting a detailed account of what happened and while the employee on the phone gave helpful information (second star), their tone was dismissive and irritated which I find is really disrespectful especially considering the circumstances under which I ended up there. The especially dismissive doctor that told me I should basically just let go of the fact that I was almost certainly drugged is Brendan Carr. I’m usually very respectful and understanding of the taxing and necessary careers of doctors and nurses which is why this experience was especially disheartening at best. I get that being a doctor is a well-paying and prestigious position in society but if you don’t actually care about people’s well-being, why are you doing it? (6 months ago)

Had surgery. My place of business chose Jeff- not me. They Had my last name wrong which delayed things a bit as well as information saying I had back surgery....ummm, never had back surgery. Just felt like a chop shop. Nice staff....nice surgeon. Lotssss of students...( which I'm guessing gave me razor burn after shaving me when I was under). Not complaining. Feel Blessed everything went well. But ....guess I was expecting more. (6 months ago)

URGENT: PLEASE READ!!!! Deciding to make Jefferson my hospital is the biggest mistake that I have ever made in my life. These uncaring thugs did not tell me about the newer, less painful therapies that I could have received at better hospitals. I unnecessarily suffered permanent damage to my body just so these lowlifes could bilk my insurance company out of $2 million. I would not recommend this horrible, third-world prison to my worst enemy. Despite being paid over $2 million by my insurance company in less than two years, these greedy thugs would not even pay for and arrange my transportation, despite my very fragile, weak condition. All competing hospitals do take care of transportation for patients with my illness. The nasty, arrogant security guard at the desk would not even call a cab for me, so I had to make several trips back up to the sixth floor just to get one, which by the way cost almost $200 roundtrip. Most of Jefferson's staff is downright hostile to their patients. Expect to wait two to six hours beyond appointment times just to begin one. Unlike normal hospitals, Jefferson will NOT call you in advance to verify your appointment. On at least a couple of occasions, I traveled all the way over there just to be told that they had no record of an appointment, despite showing them the appointment card that THEY had written. You will be required to verify the appointment in advance by spending one, two, or even three hours on the phone, maneuvering through their tedious phone maze and waiting on hold. Jefferson's food is horrible on steroids; it is not even a joke. I would not feed it to a dead rat. The treatments are antiquated; I suffered discomfort and extra risk because these out-of-touch creeps did not tell me about the new, painless therapies that I could have received at several better hospitals. I have never experienced any such problems at most other facilities. To add insult to injury, everything about Jefferson Hospital is FILTHY, rundown, incredibly old, outdated, and worn out. Do NOT be fooled by the five star reviews. Based on my experiences, they could not possibly have written by real patients. I am an actual patient, not a shill who gets paid to post fake five star reviews for torture chambers that masquerade as hospitals. (7 months ago)

Was at this hospital today, and everyone, from the front desk to the last person I spoke with at 3:30 pm. was more than helpful and very nice. I can't say enough how much I appreciate those people today. The woman in surgical recovery ( older African American woman) really should be recognized for her work. She definitely goes above and beyond her call of duty, not only to us, but to everyone she comes in contact with. We could definitely tell she "LOVES" her job. Again, Thanks to Everyone at Jefferson Hospital!!! (a year ago)

Great staff and the waiting time is quick !! (a month ago)
