β–ˆ URGENT: PLEASE READ!!!! Deciding to make Jefferson my hospital is the biggest mistake that I have ever made in my life. These uncaring thugs did not tell me about the newer, less painful therapies that I could have received at better hospitals. I unnecessarily suffered permanent damage to my body just so these lowlifes could bilk my insurance company out of $2 million. I would not recommend this horrible, third-world prison to my worst enemy. Despite being paid over $2 million by my insurance company in less than two years, these greedy thugs would not even pay for and arrange my transportation, despite my very fragile, weak condition. All competing hospitals do take care of transportation for patients with my illness. The nasty, arrogant security guard at the desk would not even call a cab for me, so I had to make several trips back up to the sixth floor just to get one, which by the way cost almost $200 roundtrip. Some of Jefferson's staff is downright hostile to their patients, not just me. Expect to wait two to six hours beyond appointment times just to begin one. Unlike normal hospitals, Jefferson will NOT call you in advance to verify your appointment. On at least a couple of occasions, I traveled all the way over there just to be told that they had no record of an appointment, despite showing them the appointment card that THEY had written. You will be required to verify the appointment in advance by spending one, two, or even three hours on the phone, maneuvering through their tedious phone maze and waiting on hold. Jefferson's food is horrible on steroids; it is not even a joke. I would not feed it to a dead rat. The treatments are antiquated; I suffered discomfort and extra risk because these out-of-touch creeps did not tell me about the new, painless therapies that I could have received at several better hospitals. I have never experienced any such problems at most other facilities. To add insult to injury, everything about Jefferson Hospital is FILTHY, rundown, incredibly old, outdated, and worn out. And they have even tried to defraud me via double or triple billing for the same service! Do NOT be fooled by the five star reviews. Based on my experiences, they could not possibly have written by real patients. I am an actual patient, not a shill who gets paid to post fake five star reviews for torture chambers that masquerade as hospitals. (a week ago)

I was admitted to the ER at Jefferson University Hospital for a kidney infection and had the most amazing experience. Every single member of the staff from the nurses to scribes to doctors were so nice and answered all of my questions. They really went above and beyond to make me comfortable. (in the last week)

The staff and the Dr's are the best I have ever seen. The careful listen to you and try to accommodate your needs as best as possible. For an intercity hospital it is very clean. No matter what questions you have someone is always willing to help. (2 weeks ago)

Very very nice and friendly security staff at the entrance, as well as all the receptionists who took patient's details. Thank you Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. You are awesome. (a week ago)

Cardiologist gave me a very high prescription for my high blood pressure I was knocked out for 3 days. I also suffer from chronic edema and had an eye stroke which left me partially blind on my right eye. Doctor said he doubt I was blind or had a stroke due to my age. But recognizes that I have a heart condition. (a week ago)
