I went in July11th for back surgery the doctor's and nurses were simply awesome professional and friendly . Nurse Danielle amazing thank you so much. I wish every nurse could be like you.and nurse Mary who did my blood work, ekg, and X-ray's you actually made me smile you to are an amazing nurse. I have to say every doctor and nurse I came in contact with were courteous and professional. Bless you all (in the last week)

Spent 2 and a half hours there waiting to be seen. Never was. Staff was standing in the back laughing and gossiping like there were no patients to be seen. I better not get a bill, because you can take me to court for all I care. I will not pay it, as no services were rendered. (in the last week)

I got there was not a bad wait the nurses were nice but the ER doctor was completely unprofessional. My blood sugar was real high when I got there so he gave me a 10 unit insulin shot. Instead of my sugar going down it went up it was over 400 and he sent me home without getting it down. Aside from that better watch out for your IDs they didn't give mine back my husband had to go back to get it and there was a large stack. Meaning they are keeping the IDs (3 months ago)

Why is an ER doctor empowered to make female patients feel ashamed for a GYN complaint? What if a male patient presented with a urological complaint? Is this a pattern of unequal treatment? ********* I visited this facility with complaints of pelvic inflammation, discharge, and spotting. Apologies that a GYN is not open on a Saturday and my pelvic inflammation was an inconvenience to address. In Dr. Miller's words... "Does this look like a clinic of some sort to you? I see no reason for to perform a pelvic examination... The urine sample contains no signs of infection... Your symptoms are not a medical emergency.... Go to a urgent care..." With all due respect. If one has an autoimmune disease, every infection is an urgent situation. They discharged me from Jack Hughston with no paperwork or instructions. The nurse told me the documents were at the front desk. However, the front desk clerk only had my identification to return. She stated: "just call the records department, if you need a copy of your visit." This makes no sense.... Where are the patient discharge instructions? Why do they keep one's identification (unsecurely) at the front desk? How can you ensure our identity and personal information is not compromised or stolen? Why the miscommunication between staff, when a patient asks a question? One left this hospital from being treated in such an unprecedented manner, straight to a respectable urgent care. Yes; I did in fact have severe inflammation and other issues overlooked at the ER. The doctor at the urgent care treated every concern in such a kind, dignified, and professional manner. Very thankful for such professionalism after being treated disgracefully at Jack Hughston. It's 2018, Folks. Women shouldn't be shamed for presenting with gynecological concerns. (a month ago)

My experience at this hospital was by far the best! Nurses And doctors were ALL super sweet and made you feel comfortable! I'm from Ga but damn sure felt at home in Alabama! God bless all the nurses and staff, you are all truly God's people! (6 months ago)
