I love this hospital! The staff are always so pleasant and attentive. My mother had surgery here and she was treated with the utmost respect and asked multiple time if there was anything that they could get for her. The doctor was kind and more than willing to answer any question that she or I may have had. I also see my PCP at this facility and love how little wait time I have in the waiting room. My only dislike is the gift shop, the woman in charge is rude and has ZERO customer service skills. I understand that the people working the register are volunteers but that is no excuse for the way I was treated while there. Also , the hours are very inconsistent. While my mother was in recovery I went to buy flowers and at 14:00 the shop was closed. I asked why and was told that the woman in charge "just kinda makes up her own hours" I was quite perturbed. To summarize, excellent hospital but if you need or want to buy gift there use the pharmacy in the building attached to the hospital! Staff there was much more friendly and they are reliably open every day. (3 months ago)

My cousin/best friend went in for an appendectomy. Dr. Chris Carey poked a hole in her intestines unknowingly. In recovery she had not had a bowel movement or gas and her urine was brown. I'm sure, due to insurance, Dr. Carey's wife discharged her. This was a Saturday and she was back in the ER on Monday night around 9pm. She had altered mental status and uncontrollable vitals. She was told to wait until the AM for Dr. Josh Carey to come in. Dr. Chris Carey's brother. This is a family affair. Well it was too late and when he came in she coded. They tried to do emergency surgery on this "mystery hole" in her intestines. It was too late and her brain swelled from severe sepsis. He said she would wake up. So for 5 days my whole family sat next to her. On the last day, they came in to tell us. "Well, we can't save em' all" and that she was brain dead. She was 32 with an 8yr old. She was literally taken away by incompetent medical staff. Her parents pleaded with the ER staff for help but they didn't help until she stopped breathing. Her parents watched her die. I posted a review on their Facebook page but they delete them. I want everyone to know. Dr. Josh Carey is currently in a wrongful death lawsuit and Dr. Chris Carey has settled suits. I know people love to sue but this is ridiculous. He is to have a jury trial to be set. I am not associated with any lawsuit against them. I am here to inform the public. We will get other peoples stories together to be put to public. Please think twice before heading to this hospital. (2 months ago)

My husband had outpatient rhinoplasty with Dr. Shadfar here. Everyone who worked with us was helpful and friendly. Service was timely. I received a phone call once per hour during the surgery to keep me updated, which I thought was a great touch. The surgery went well, and took about the amount of time they had projected. My husband's recovery from anesthesia was good and he is healing nicely. If I had one complaint, it would be that his surgery recovery felt a tiny bit rushed, like the nurse had somewhere to be and she was eager for us to leave so she could leave, but overall I felt like the staff did a great job of taking care of both my husband and me. Had my hernia surgery there and couldn’t have been more pleased. Their care was top of the line and always kept me informed about what was happening. The best part is everyone was so personal and I think I laughed the whole time before my surgery. I felt like they were treating me as a friend and not just another thing to deal with during their day. Their aftercare follow up is second to none. I would totally recommend checking with them for any surgery needs. (2 months ago)

If you have an injury that involves pain say from a table saw and your hand and your likely to have pain for at least a few days don't go to this hospital. They will only help with pain medication for 24 hrs. Which would b fine if you can get to your real doctor the next day. Yea right. Don't even think of calling them for any help. Oh they will help you if you re admit into the ER again and pay again. The app they have u load on phone does nothing for you. Go to mercy ER across the street (2 months ago)
