I think this is an awesome hospital. My ED experience was great as I was literally bleeding to death and they appropriately triaged me to room. I had wonderful OB experiences with the nurses and doctors...everyone was awesome (Dr Tuso and Dr Juan are amazing) and their NICU team is among the best I have worked with. (a month ago)

I went to the Emergency room for extreme back spasm and terrible pain. I was waiting in the hallway for a long time. A physician came up to me and told me that they cannot help me and there were no doctors at the hospital that can help. He offered me a prescription for Norco which I already had. He said to go home and change your lifestyle. He spent no more than one whole minute with me. There was no exam. I was shocked. I left and went straight to a different doctor in Valencia who gave me a complete exam and provided me with new meds and oral steroids. Wait for it... Henry Mayo billed me for $998.98!!!!!!! That's right. I disputed the charge in writing and I received a letter that said sorry that they won't make ANY adjustments to the bill. I was ENCOURAGED to call financial counseling to pay my bill. It is shocking. Please try and go somewhere else for your needs. They have a horrible standard of care. (2 months ago)

Terrence & Dr. Casey were very kind & professional. Dr. Casey was very straight to the point, not trying to tell me what I wanted to hear. I appreciate that in a doctor. Terrence kept my spirits up with her hospitality. (3 months ago)

Waiting time is the worse. It's like you are waiting at the DMV. Only reason, I came was because I needed to see urgent care and urgent care reffered me here. The staff is not friendly or show sumpatsy. Go somewhere else if you must. (3 weeks ago)

My father in law was taken to the ER by ambulance on March 6th. From the ER to the ICU to the standard hospital rooms, I can only recall 2 RN nurses who were patient with elderly patients/their family and actually cared about their careers. In the ICU, two RN nurses left my FIL in his own filth and feces as they both were too good to clean up a bedridden elderly patient. Yet they kept making excuses during their alleged shift change while the poor man sat unclean in his hospital bed!!!!!. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR!!!!! The two nurses were Brittany and Angela. These two female RNs were assigned to the ICU and my FIL when they both made remarks that they would have the CNA nurse clean his bedding rather than doing the cleaning themselves. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. This hospital and a majority of their staff treat elderly patients as if they are not worth the effort due to their age. The lack of communication with the RN nurses and family members is severely lacking with the exception of several ICU nurses. On a more positive note, the first RN in ICU named Austin and the Respiratory Tech (older male/gray hair) were both patient, professional and kept lines of communication open with family. My FIL was sent home under hospice care and passed away a few weeks later from terminal cancer. What a LOUSY EXPERIENCE IN THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A HOSPITAL for someone with a terminal illness. STUPID LAZY NURSES ANGELA (ICU) AND BRITTANY (ICU)...YOU NEED TO FIND A MORE SUITABLE CAREER BECAUSE YOU BOTH SUCK AT YOUR JOBS! (2 months ago)
