Driving I 80, had allergic reaction, found GCH on line, called from road and the ER staff was available, kind, professional and assessed and treated. We were very happy with our experience and are grateful for the availability and care. Thank you! (11 months ago)

I was sent to hospital by poison control on a Sunday. Poison control called and told the staff that I would be up there. As soon as I got there, there was no one at the front desk. The nurse who buzzed me in the doors did not tell me which way to go. I was already scared and now lost and frightened. The nurse's greeting was none at all and made me feel stupid. Once in the room, the nurse seemed liked she didn't quite know what to do. I was told the doctor would be right in and waited for what seemed like ages. While waiting for the doctor the nurse opened the door so my little one could walk right out and wonder. The nurse got my little and a couple toys bringing them back into the room and placing on the bed. When one of the toys was about to be thrown across the room she turned to grab while my little one whipped the opposite direction and twisting off the bed landing head first on that hard lanolium. I jumped up and got to my little one before the nurse who was closer made it to pick little one up. All the nurse did was take a quick glance at forehead saying oh we'll have to keep an eye on that. As soon as the nurse walked out I moved my little one's hair and instantly saw the big red spot and felt a bump forming. Shortly after that the doctor came in wearing the dirtiest look on his face and instantly started talking down to me. It took approximately 2 hours to get the damn ambulance ready to go to Des Moines hospital. I will never in my right mind take someone I love or go to this hospital myself again. This was my first time experience here and they made me feel like I was scum of the earth and completely worthless. My depression was even worse after this tramatic experience. Worst team of providers I've ever met. (12 months ago)

The staff at the hospital are totally awesome, the care I received was absolutely amazing. (a year ago)

No such thing as doctor patient confidentiality in any visit I have had there and the service is terrible the two times I've gone in for stitches there a week later I had an infection from foreign objects being sewed up in the stitches from lack of cleaning any other time I have gone in there they will give you a shot and say well that's all I can do (a year ago)
