I recently suffered a stroke and was not sure of what my future held. After many tests and compassionate and professional care, I am now on the road to recovery. I will be forever grateful for the staff that assisted in helping me recover. I am 85 yrs old and spent 45 yrs in the medical industry so know the ins and outs of healthcare . My experience at Grandview is totally different from all the negative I read. (in the last week)

Had a wonderful experience in labor and delivery. Tammy was my L&D nurse and she was top notch! She was very proactive and so easy to talk to. I’ve been seeing Dr. Hudson as my OBGYN for many years and don’t regret following him from St Vincent’s to Grandview. (a week ago)

My child spent 6 days on the children's floor for severe anxiety. They seemed pretty good while we were there. Unfortunately, as soon as she was released, they washed their hands of us. Absolutely no help after leaving. No family support. The doctor couldn't be bothered to answer a question on the phone the next day when we were experiencing the same issues that we had before admission. Very disheartening. (a month ago)

I went to Grandview ER and I was taken care of by Dr. Slain and nurses Whitney and Michael. They were very professional, compassionate and thorough while trying to solve my medical problems. I could not have asked for better or more efficient medical care. I was very satisfied with everyone I came into contact with from the security guard, receptionist, triage nurse, CNA, even the janitor was friendly. Nurse Whitney went over all of my discharge instructions, follow up appointments, and told me about my new prescriptions. Don’t let her "gothic girl” look fool you. She is a real sweet heart and loves her patients. I would recommend this hospital to my friends and family. Grandview ER gets an A+ from this guy! (a month ago)

Worse experience in my entire life! I had a heart cath on friday 4-13. I arrived at 630am for an 8am procedure and finally went back at 1pm. Although it may seem that is what i should have been upset about,it wasn't...I work in health care and I can understand procedures ahead of me being more difficult and taking longer than expected so... the wait was the least of the horrors. Never have I been treated with such disrespect and total lack of concern for my privacy! The staff was rude, cold, unfriendly and completely uncaring. There is way too much that happened to write it all down here but I can promise you, I would not recommend this facility to anyone! Do not go here if you do not want your naked body exposed to everyone hanging out in the hall every time a nurse rips the curtain open and you don't want to be in pain for hours with no offer of pain medicine until the doctor request it.....not to mention that I finally unhooked myself from all of the monitors etc....after i had been there 6 1/2 hours because not one nurse thought to ask if I needed to go to the restroom.....then the monitors kept going off for an hour before anyone even noticed I was gone. Worse hospital experience EVER! I even told them I was glad I didn't treat my patients this way! The "lead" nurse I first complained to made excuses for the previous nurses at first but became more friendly as time marched on but it was too little , too late really. No Stars Earned here but it wouldn't post with my selecting at least one! (a month ago)
