Show up at 10 30 with an 8 year old, a 7 year old, and a very pregnant woman. Our little 8 year old Has a head wound with a large gash.. after 2 hours in the waiting room they finally call him back only tell us 2 of us can't go back there. 2 more hours in the room and the doctor hasn't even been in there.. freaking ridiculous. There's no excuse for wait times like this! Get it together. (2 weeks ago)

My girlfriend and I got to the hospital and she was monitored because she was 40 weeks pregnant and having contractions every five minutes. We we're told she was in labor but they said they were not close enough and the contractions weren't long enough. So they send us home knowing we lived too far away to have to drive back. Well her contractions never got any quicker or longer. But she knew something was wrong and we didn't have much time. I went to the nearest hospital and in 15 minutes she was pushing. Long story short, she and the baby is fine. No thanks to Golden Valley. Won't be doctoring here again. (3 months ago)

Doctor send me over to get lab work from the hospital and they do not process my lab work through my insurance. A year and half later I get a phone call that they are sending me to collections for non payment, now I’ve never received a bill or call prior to this. I asked what this is about and she states it’s from GVMH so I call the hospital and they tell me it’s for the lab work I had done and I didn’t provide insurance information to them. I explained the doctors over at the clinic sent me over and it should have been on file. Nope. They refused to do it. They billed as self pay even though I had insurance started out over 1100 dollars but because I was “ self pay” they gave me a 40% discount which brought it down to 864.00 dollars . This is ridiculous to me. I will never go back here again and please be warned when dealing with the billing department you will be treated like a criminal even though this was 100% their fault. I had insurance on file and they refused to use it. (in the last week)

I personally believe that we received extremely high quality service for our medical needs. The rooms were spotless, the food was delicious for hospital food. The nursing Staff performed admirably. (a month ago)

What a horrible hospital first of all I am Military Vietnam Vet I was in serious pain legs and lower back. Physician Mitchell Stephen DO would not give any pain killers, all he would give me was Motrin 600mg. Then this so call nurse CLS, each time she left the room, he would ask for my name date of birth, SS # about the third time I refused to repeat it over. She disrespect my health problems, and I told her you just left this room and you weren't even gone 5 min, you know who I am, as a Military Vet I was treated like --can't even describe the words I want to use. Finally, physician came in the room, the first words out of his mouth, is I will not give you any painkillers, WOW, I said to myself with pain and teary eyes, I got up and left the hospital. I have Military Insurance, their billing department sent me a bill for $700. He's the kicker, they called me once a week demanding payment, I told them Call the VA not me. I told the VA how I was treated and the VA told GVHM this is what they will pay because you did nothing for our Veteran. Yes, the VA did come to a agreement and sent payment to GVHM. A month later or so, I get a letter from a collection dept for the full of amount of hospital bill, thanks GVHM. If I have to go to a hospital, I need to drive to KCMO. Next time I will go to Western Missouri Medical Center there they treat you right and with respect. (in the last week)
