In March, my wife had to have her toes amputated due to her diabetes in Morgantown, WV. In April, they had to install a wound vac to help clear the drainage from the wound. We were told to go to an emergency room If the drainage was too much for the wound vac or if there was excessive bleeding. Her wound did overwhelm the wound vac and started bleeding through the dressings. When we went to the ER, they took the wound vac off and then redressed her foot. I informed them that I had brought all materials needed to reinstall the wound vac and was told that they don't work with wound vacs. My wife started to bleed through her dressings before we got out to our car, we went to Morgantown, WV ER and was well taken care of and they reinstalled her wound vac. Why would a doctor remove something that is needed when he has no skill with. They should have just sent us straight to Morgantown. We no longer will use Garrett Regional for ER or hospital. So far, we have had no problems with radiology or the lab, so we will continue to use those two services, for now. (4 weeks ago)

one Of the ICU nurses is rude and ignorant! We had no problems for two days until today she comes in and has been an issue from the start to the point my father wants to check himself out and leave . (in the last week)

I normally have no issue with this place. Until today. I have a horrible cough, my ears are plugged, nose stuffy/runny, sore throat, etc. I had a chest x-ray and when the dr came in, he talked to me like I was stupid! Telling me it’s just a cold. I need cough medicine. If I feel like I can’t breathe then come back. I CANNOT BREATHE! My chest hurts. My neck hurts. I had to ASK the “Dr” to look into my ear. “Nope. Nothing wrong.” Then why can’t I hear out of my left one?! He was the worst dr I’ve EVER had! (3 months ago)

The head nurse accused me of wanting opiate drugs because I told her Tylenol wasn’t going to do anything. I never asked for anything but she called me a drug chaser. She needs slapped in the mouth. (a month ago)

Very busy place but friendly and helpful. (in the last week)
