I was scheduled for spinal surgery here on 4-9-18. I am new to the area and was not familiar with the hospital and was nervous to say the least. In the end, I had as good an experience as one can have after going thru major surgery. I was on 4th floor for recovery. The layout of the rooms and hallways make it quiet and spacious , the entire staff at every level from check in , to prep nurses, OR, Therapy, dining to housekeeping and the care given were all first rate, even the food was tasty. I was very impressed with this hospital. Unfortunately I have experienced surgery and recovery in the past at other hospitals and have experienced very different levels of care . I literally had no complaints at any level with El Camino and I was treated well by everyone I dealt with. If you must be hospitalized, I can recommend this hospital. All of my nurses were great, especially Michelle at nights. She was very patient and kind. (a month ago)

In October 2017 my wife, Jenny, suffered a severe stroke and was rushed to El Camino Hospital for brain surgery. We are happy to report that after a period of recovery, she is on her way to a meaningful recovery. The family wishes to express its gratitude to the great medical staff at El Camino for saving her. Of note are Dr. Onibokun, surgeon for his skill, Dr. Jindal, Neurologist for her early and accurate prognosis, Daniel, RN for his diligent care and all others involved. We been here since 10pm and now its 230am. No one cares. I am bleeding they gave towel that is it and said to wait. I could have done that at home. I never seen such hospital in my life. Luckily we dont live close to this hospital. One in Tracy is great. At least someone seats ppl and makes sure urgent first. Here such a careless people. Dr. Late. We are still waiting while bleeding from head. If its emergency DO NOT COME HERE. Better off drive a little bit far. (a month ago)

What a terrific hospital Every staff member was professional, kind and explained the plan of care The ER doc, my two RNs the triage staff and even my transport person, Felix I wish I could remember all their names Great staff Nice community hospital (a month ago)

In addition to the fact that a nurse died of a heart attack here, this hospital is just awful. The first time I visited for a deep cough it turned into a bladder removal procedure which was entirely unnecessary. When I asked the doctor why he removed my bladder, he left the room and I never saw him again. My second visit, a man shot at me in the parking lot and a bullet grazed my shoulder. Though a doctor was right inside the hospital, they refused to treat me, putting a 'closed' sign at the front door. I went to the Santa Clara Hospital the next time. (4 months ago)
