The ER Dept was poorly functional. Halls are very narrow. Staff and patients family acting as if it's a circus. House keeping staff and some hospital staff to busy creating personal drama instead of treatment for patients. 93 year old father in-law had bandage ripped off and took skin with it. Let it bleed for several hours until he was being transferred to Duke and we insisted before he left. It was9 hours if medical hell till we got him to Duke. (2 months ago)

My sister, Frances Pauling, went into Sovah Hospital in Danville, Virginia for a thyroid operation in December 2017. During the surgery her eye was badly damage due to poor conditions in the operating room. Her eyes were not properly covered and protected during the procedure which has caused a permanent eye condition. This hospital has tried to sweep it under the rug. We have tried numerous times to contact CEO and the Compliance Officer but no one responds to our request for treatment for her eye. My sister is a 70 year old black woman and I believe this is a racial incident. Her husband and son, both veterans, are struggling to get her the help she needs to get treatment for her eye. She has been traumatized from this experience and no one at this hospital seems to care. SHAME ON YOU, SOVAH!!!! (2 months ago)

Very satisfied with emergency services provided by the staff in the ER. It was during a time when our local hospital was full, so they had to divert the ambulance carrying my dad to Danville Regional a.k.a. Sovah Health- Danville. The staff and nurses on the Orthopedic floor were all fantastic to my dad. Everyone was caring and compassionate, and provided excellence in nursing care during his surgery and week long admission. WORST hospital I have ever seen. Employees are rude and let you know they hate their job. Would not work with my dad on setting up payments he could afford on a fixed income. Left rude and threatening messages on his phone that they would go after his home if he didnt pay his bill in full and he doesnt even own his home. He continued to mail them money every month and they call to say it is not enough and they may not accept a small payment but they cash the check every month. If you can do the drive go somewhere else, Eden, Lynchburg, Greensboro, they are much kinder, cheaper and offer much better care than Sovah Danville. Do a little research, check their reviews from patients, a 1 star was the lowest rating I could give and they do not deserve that. (3 months ago)

They charge astronomical prices for substandard service, and instead of forms to fill out for financial assistance , why can't the registration assistant fill those forms out. I was homeless for two years, the person that hit me was supposed to pay the bill and now it's on my credit. (6 months ago)
