Location and Directions

The ER Dept was poorly functional. Halls are very narrow. Staff and patients family acting as if it's a circus. House keeping staff and some hospital staff to busy creating personal drama instead of treatment for patients. 93 year old father in-law had bandage ripped off and took skin with it. Let it bleed for several hours until he was being transferred to Duke and we insisted before he left. It was9 hours if medical hell till we got him to Duke. (4 months ago)

By far the worst experience and hospital i have ever visited. First off, i come in for chest pain and nause and dull pain in my neck.....hello all red flags for heart attack. I tell them i am here for chest pain and i have a history of heart disease. This awful security guard says you have to line up..... i said i am having chest pains are you serious?? This is not a sinus infection, nor a broken finger, fever or cough... CHEST PAIN. So i wait and am still waiting 2hrs later. I dont know how this hospital stats in business. I have agmazing health insurance and was treated like i am a criminal when i walked in. Maybe its the demografic here, but not every black american that lives in danville is on public assistance. This hospital is horrible. Do your self a favor. Even if you are dying go some place else!! Worst hospital in the world!! Staff doesnt give a damn and treats you like dirt. (3 weeks ago)

Very satisfied with emergency services provided by the staff in the ER. It was during a time when our local hospital was full, so they had to divert the ambulance carrying my dad to Danville Regional a.k.a. Sovah Health- Danville. The staff and nurses on the Orthopedic floor were all fantastic to my dad. Everyone was caring and compassionate, and provided excellence in nursing care during his surgery and week long admission. My sister, Frances Pauling, went into Sovah Hospital in Danville, Virginia for a thyroid operation in December 2017. During the surgery her eye was badly damage due to poor conditions in the operating room. Her eyes were not properly covered and protected during the procedure which has caused a permanent eye condition. This hospital has tried to sweep it under the rug. We have tried numerous times to contact CEO and the Compliance Officer but no one responds to our request for treatment for her eye. My sister is a 70 year old black woman and I believe this is a racial incident. Her husband and son, both veterans, are struggling to get her the help she needs to get treatment for her eye. She has been traumatized from this experience and no one at this hospital seems to care. SHAME ON YOU, SOVAH!!!! (4 months ago)

I live in Danville but I take my chances driving all the way to Eden or southboston to go to the emergency room. This hospital is awful (a month ago)
