It's actually a great hospital. I spent a lot of time at the physical therapy area, and had a wonderful experience. I've had a few different therapists work with me because I had to come back multiple times, and they all tried their best at each visit to make me feel comfortable, while helping me improve myself at the same time. There's a lot of machines and tools that I used, and every trip I made was a surprise. The staff is diverse, which is nice too. I've been to the emergency room multiple times, I can't really complain for anything besides the wait time, which is long, like any other hospital that I've been to. (3 months ago)

My brother is a type 2 diabetic and he was admitted here several times. Most of the staff have a complete disregard for privacy and will leave the door wide open after coming in when it was closed to begin with and won't even knock which can feel extremely violating for someone who happens to be on the porcelain throne. Aside from the ICU and isolation rooms, a majority of rooms in the hospitals have 2-4 beds so prepare to feel like a sardine and get no sleep because you'll always have that one person who bugs everyone. I gave it two stars instead of one because his basic needs were met and the residents were very nice. The doctors seemed to be very arrogant and only about 40% of the nurses and nurses aids were helpful. I guess that has to count for something but even when you have problems with the hospital, the patient advocates will outright refuse to help accommodate you, especially when you have special needs. If someone whose job is to advocate refuses to do so, what's the point? This hospitals treats their patients like cattle more than humans. Go elsewhere. (4 months ago)

Emergency room is good but if you have to go up then GOD HELP YOU ! I was in Coney Island Hospital as a patient and my experience was like a nightmare. The nurses were incompetent and noisy ! COPD patients were with others that doesn't have COPD symptoms Poor fella right next to me was having the heart attack and no medical personal was helping him even with administering the oxygen mask! if you have to go to the hospital I recommend Maimonidies ! I have Asthma. I went to this hospital recently and immediately told them that I was having trouble breathing because of asthma. After I waited 40 minutes outside, they finally called me in and told the nurse that I couldn't breath. She immediately complained that she had too many people and did not want another. After I waited another hour wheezing with absolutely no attention at all, I decided to get up, walk out, and struggle my way to Staten Island Hospital where they gave me steroids and a treatment right away. I don't usually write reviews. But trust me, don't go to this hospital!!!! If you can, just try to find another one in the area. (5 months ago)

If I can give them zero stars I would. They are extremely rude and do not care about their patients. The nurses in the emergency room literally sat and talked on the phone and to eachother. They were on snapchat acting a fool. They sat and listened to music. I would not recommend them. (4 months ago)
