Location and Directions

Last Friday we had an unexpected "hotel" stay at the Community Howard Regional Health Hospital in Kokomo. It started with a 103.5 fever our 6 month old daughter, Allie, woke up with at 3am. Making an appointment for the next morning, we saw NP Kathleen McCracken and her two nurses, Megan & Megan. (Yes, there were two. lol) All 3 of them were more than accommodating to my daughters and I while we waited. The nurses gave Emma coloring pages and crayons to keep her behaved. They even held Allie and treated her as their own when I had to take Emma to the bathroom. Kathleen went above and beyond and really cared for my concern and ran a few tests that weren't common but were better safe than sorry. Sure enough, something was off and we wouldn't have known if it wasn't for her going that one extra step. Even during the 45 min long wait for a room in the hospital, Kathleen and the nurses checked in with us every 10 mins to make sure we were doing ok. When we got transferred to the hospital side, the nurses (I can't remember all their names) were THE BEST at making us feel welcomed and comfortable. Throughout the next 24 hours they never missed a check-in, were as sweet as can be, and always made sure to ask if we needed anything. There was even a green and blue blanket in the crib was knitted by someone locally that made them for babies that stay here in the hospital, so we are grateful for such a thoughtful gift from a stranger. To follow up, today we got a "thank you" card in the mail, wishing us a quick recovery and it was signed by the nurses that took care of us. I'm beyond pleased with the care and support we had from North Central Indiana Pediatrics Center and would recommend them to anyone. We will definitely be keeping them as our doctor for our girls and would stay there again. (Hope we don't have to though!) (a month ago)

Community Oncologists saved my life. I have been in remission for 14 years! Dr. Annette Moore, Dr. Naftali Bechar and Dr. Ross. Excellent nurses and quality care. (2 months ago)

Terrible. Normally go to st. Joe. But i live right by howard. Me feeling terrible as hell an no energy.. drive to howard. I have had pneumonia 4xs in my life so i know the feeling of it. I get their explain it to em my history..the dr which was ok said i was wheezing and gave me some meds minus a cough medicine. He diagnosed me with bronchitis no xray either. Now anyone who reads this review if u have ever had pneumonia or bronchitis whats the worst part? THE COUGH...IT HURTS LIKE HELL AN YOUR LUNGS FEEL LIKE THEY R ON FIRE. So when the nurse came in to give me my scripts and discharge me i asked her to go ask the dr for a cough medicine. She comes back with a off bran robitussin script (everything is worth a try when your sick). I have been taking that for a few days now. Not working! So i called up to howard today and guess what they said. Come back in to be seen. Yea right. My copay is 100 every hospital visit. Ive already been their and looking at a 100$ bill. How hard is it for a dr to call you in a script or say come pick one up AFTER you have already diagnosed me. Bronchitis is just a step from pneumonia. Seeing that i have had pneumonia to many times, I kno what it takes to get better or even feel better. All i wanna do is stop coughing. While all they want to do is make money. Never again. I'll be going else where. Thanks for the $100 z-pac though. (7 months ago)

Very nice staff. Very fast and efficient! Best hospital I've been to! So sweet and gentle with my almost one year old! Clean! (a year ago)

The staff were terrible. They had absolutely no bed side manor what so ever. This hospital should be avoided if possible. (10 months ago)
