From the perspective of a local minister, this is the only hospital I can’t stand to go into. I’ve had to visit them many times over the last 17 years and I hate it when someone tells me they are at The Med. Their policies and procedures are excessively restrictive, not only on ministry attending to their people but I’ve seen their policies enforced with militaristic force several times to families. The competition of the other hospitals should have some effect, and I hope it does; but good luck if you go here and expect a pastor’s visit in the ER or pre-op. Not only are the policies excessively restrictive, but they rudely enforce those policies and treat every patience as if they are a number. UPDATE 07/13/2018 An executive with the hospital contacted me in regards to my review. I greatly appreciate they are concerned enough to reach out and I truly hope their concern will translate into an action plan that implements a more spiritually and mentally caring environment. I will have more opportunity to visit the hospital soon and will update my review again then. We all need to recognize that we all need one another, especially when we are in crisis, trauma or sickness. (in the last week)

I was sent here from the VA accross the street to get an ultrasound. The staff and Dr. are nice enough but the facility is disgusting. The floor in my room looks like it hasn't been swept in days. I requested socks an hour ago so I didn't have to walk on the gross floor because I wore flats, and they still haven't brought me any. Broken equipment and hardware throughout that I have noticed. Just overall looks run down and dirty. Not the cleanliness I expect in a sterile environment. (a month ago)

The doctor was great. The one nurse before surgery was great. My child is a minor so of course a parent has to stay with the child at all times. The chair that turns to a bed for the parent is beyond broken. They said they were going to bring a parent tray of food at meal times at check in because a parent had to be present but they never one time did. So the stay was very stressful. No sleep. No food. And worried about my child. The only reason i give a 2 star is because of the doctor and one nurse. (5 months ago)

My husband was rushed here due to heart pains. From Dr. Miller his PA Amanda, nurses Ruby, Shelby, Maria, Norman to the nutritionist to housekeeping, they were caring, knowledgable. The cardioligist care unit ROCKS! (2 months ago)

This place just doesn’t seem very compassionate at all. The employees are friendly to each other, the building is moderately clean, but the genuine care is jut not with the staff. I recommend st Joseph’s. The nurses are wonderful and doctors are just the same thanks st Joseph’s (7 months ago)
