I was taken by ambulance to this hospital about two months ago. The e.r. staff was awesome. Very attentive and great bedside manner. The doctor treating me explained everything to me and made sure i was taken care of. Within two hours of being there they had already had my scans done and figured it would be best to admit me. I was there for 9 days and they always treated me with compassion and I never had to wait long for anything. Bath, change of bed linens, medication, questions. They were always there within a couple of minutes. Never rushed and always made sure I understood what was going on with my treatment plan. (3 weeks ago)

I went into the Emergency Room and although I had to wait forEVER it was worth it. The ER was packed. But the staff was friendly, professional and personable. We spent hours there waiting for a room upstairs but they put me on a bed where I could see everything. And WOW...those ER people ran their tails off. There was nothing slow about them, all fast walking or faster. And they were as nice as nice could be. I was almost sorry when it came time for me to go up to a room. There is only one place my husband and I will go...CLEAR LAKE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Thanks to you all. (a week ago)

My sister has been in ICU for 2 days. At first I thought the service was good, but started noticing how uncaring some of the nurses are. No bedside manner. Only here to do their job, no good communication between her and her daytime nurse. I've worked in hospitals for many years and I have never seen what I have seen at this hospital. The people seem to be very cold-hearted. I tried to compliment her night nurse, but she thought it was funny. Funny enough to call another nurse to come to my sister's room and told me to tell her what I had said about her. I felt humiliated, and I really liked that nurse. The hospital does nothing to help the family of the patient. They do not offer anything to try and make their stay comfortable. This hospital seems very very cold. So disappointed. (a month ago)

I went to the ER becaue I fell in my kitchen. I sat in a wheelchair for 2 hours holding my leg up because I could not put it down without being in excruciating pain. Everyone there was nice, and compassionate. But on the other hand I was shuffled around from triage room to another. All the beds were full and I understood that I would have to wait. I waited for about an hour to get the medicine that the Dr had ordered. I had to have the medicine to help me be able to extend my leg before I could get x-rays. The lady from x-ray kept coming by asking if I were ready and wasn’t exactly nice, understanding or compassionate. I understand that you have to wait in an ER but I felt like they were just trying to get me in and out and not helping me get comfortable during the process. I know that I will end up getting a very large bill from the hospital for an experience that was horrible. Very frustrating. (a month ago)

My son has been a patient in the pediatric unit and PICU. I had a surgical procedure last month and have another scheduled tomorrow. Having worked in health care for 13 years, it's refreshing to see efficient nursing staff and support. The pre-op appointments I had were so pleasingly quick and the staff is amazing. The post op team was also amazing. Especially my poor discharge nurse that had to deal with me after my procedure. Your facility is doing great. Please keep it up. (in the last week)
