The worst medical facility I have ever had this misfortune to deal with. Wife has been gravely ill for a month in which time these people have milked her insurance company through repeated, unnecessary tests when they have known since the initial ER visit what was making her sick. Her surgery was scheduled for early next week. Billing called this morning and informed her that without $700 paid up front, they are refusing her medically necessary surgery. She has been told by more than one employee of this hospital that her life means nothing unless they get what they want. (a month ago)

I worked there for almost 4 years and have to say it's a great rural hospital and the county is lucky to have it. I've worked at quite a few large inner city hospitals that may have more to offer but you'll get quality care while you are there and if more is needed outside their realm of expertise they'll see to it that you are transferred to the best hospital ASAP. The staff is compassionate and we'll trained. In many ways this facility is much better than larger hospitals. A few years ago my father was in an major accident. He was initially treated at a level one trauma center. His main complaint was neck pain and a headache. After only taking a few x-rays (none of his neck) and labs he was discharged. I took my father to see Dr. Reid who actually listened to my dads complaints. It turned out my dad had a fractured vertebrae in his neck, internal carotid artery damage and other injuries. Dr. Reid then stayed late to make sure my dad was transferred to a facility that could manage his multiple medical problems. We are very fortunate to have such great healthcare providers in the area. They recently renovated the building and made it look amazing but the doctors here are a joke. This is hospital is known as the "bandaid station," you do not want to come here unless YOU WANT TO DIE! Have had several friends come to this hospital just to get sent home with allergy or kidney medicine, only to get a second opinion from another medical physician in a different hospital to find out their problems are much worse! Luckily for one of my friends they got the help they needed at another hospital to discover he needed to have surgery on his appendix, did not need the kidney medicine. Their pediatricians are wonderful. However if you get the hulking mass of a doctor we call "Shrek" or his assistant GET A SECOND OPINION, if you want to live! (a year ago)

Horrible! Didn't have friendly nurses, wasn't family friendly and my husbands care was super questionable and to leave and get another opinion (a year ago)
