I would give this place no stars if I could. Took my 2.5 year old to the ER at 5pm yesterday with a 102 rectal temp, she finally got vitals taken at 5:30pm and they said she wasn't running a fever (done by ear), we finally got a the 7pm & by 7:30pm she still hadnt been acknowledged so we left. I got to AMC in Fishersville around 8:30pm where they did her vitals right away, had us in a room as soon as the vitals were done (in which her fever was 103.9 so clearly CSJH didnt do a correct temperature read), dr was in within 10 mins and heavily concerned for her. Both ER's were equally busy, but AMC did what a hospital should do, accomodate the patient in a quick and efficient manner. My daughter is now in pediatric ICU where she is battling a high fever that won't break and respiratory distress along with severe dehydration. I'm so glad i left CSJH and came to AMC where they actually care about the patients. If tou choose a carilion facility, make the drive to roanoke memorial or pick a different hospital. (4 weeks ago)

I came in sick as a dog admitted into ICU, the doctor was amazing as well as all the nurses I had. I’m thankful for the great care and compassion I received day 2 hoping to go home tomorrow. I’ve heard awful stories of this hospital but me personally as a patient I have nothing but great things to say! (3 months ago)

The most horrible experience that I have ever had! I came in after being T-Boned by a guy going 60 mph. Came in from the Ambulance, and the nurses go me hooked up to the monitors and stuff but then just left me. I probably waited at least an hour with glass all over me before they would come back or let my family back to see me. the nurse then came back asked me if I like hot or cold water, place some towels on the counter and walked out with the water running. my sister and I waited 10 min before we decided that it meant that it was a sign that I was supposed to clean myself off. I was still in the collar, hadn't had any x-rays yet, and hadn't seen the doctor yet. Overall just don't go here unless you are bleeding out or going to die! because it might just kill you to go here (4 months ago)

Front desk friendly, nurse practitioner absolutely awful. Being spoken to in such a dismissive and denigrating way immediately was completely uncalled for. I cannot believe that you can go into a hospital with serious health concerns and could be treated like you’re bothering them, being told “the emergency room is for emergencies”. And after being spoken to in length like I was an idiot wasting her time, I told the nurse practioner that I do not appreciate being spoken to like I was stupid and that I am quite articulate and capable of comprehending what she was telling me. She then proceeded to get even more of an attitude, so I got up, grabbed my coat, asked her name, said I was going to leave and seek treatment elsewhere, she said she was going to speak to the doctor and get security, which I welcomed because I never once said anything derogatory or raised my voice to her, just simply stated that I would go somewhere else if she didn’t want to help me and not to speak to me like I was an idiot. The security guard was extremely nice and understanding. I was not combative in any way shape or form. She came back and stated that the doctor would be too busy to see me this evening and that she would be the only one to assist me. Needless to say I did not want her sticking a needle in my arm so I left and drove home even though I was feeling lethargic, faint and could not focus with serious vertigo like symptoms. I will be going to UVA tomorrow and depending on what is wrong I will determine if legal action is necessary from there. I have been to hospitals all over the country and have never had a bad experience like this. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS IT IS AN EXTREME EMERGENCY! (5 months ago)

It's okay, but also... it's just okay, which isn't great. (3 weeks ago)
