Location and Directions

They are very under staffed and slow. They leave you unattended for hours at a time. They tell you discharged and keep you 3-4 hours longer. I wouldn't dare recommend this hospital to anyone. It is maybe 5 really amazing nurses and about 3 outstanding doctors. Hospital really needs improvement. (a month ago)

Sadly, my experience with the ER at at Memorial Regional was not the best. We are new to the area and I love the fact that the hospital is in close proximity. I was suffering from abdominal pain and was doubled over- my mom who used to work in an ER said I need to go in and get evaluated. I was brought back quickly and placed in a room within 10 minutes which was wonderful, but things went down hill. They decided to put in an IV which periodically worked. The doctor came in briefly to evaluate my conditions and ordered a CT. Sadly, when the person from the department came to get me they could not do a CT with contrast because my IV wasn’t working. My mother tried to let them know that I wasn’t getting fluids but the staff was too busy to check on me. Shortly after the CT the nurse came in and shared that they couldn’t find anything and that the doctor would be in shortly to discharge me. 2.5 hours later the doctor came in with discharge papers, no diagnosis and a I hope you feel better. I think the total amount of staff interaction was 3 for the nurse, two for the doc and once with X-ray in a 5 hour period of time I was there. They shared that all of the sudden the ER got busy...aren’t they prepared for that? I couldn’t even get a cup of water or at least ask for one. BTW - you might want to ask if your doctor is part of a practice Emergency Medicine Associates. They charge an after hours fee at an ER that is not covered by insurance. (a month ago)

From the time of my arrival, I had to be admitted. I was hospitalized on 2.16.2018. I must admit my stay was excellent. The nurses was very nice and explain each and every detail to me. All of my needs were met. On 2.18.2018. I had the pleasure of having Stephanie Crews, Tia, and Joe as my caretaker for the day. They were the best! The Doctors was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of my illiness. The Kitchen staff had the best customer service. Kudos to Ms. Johnson and all her Kitchen staff. Jeremy, my day nurse he was so Excellent. He was so nice and patient with me. The cleaning crew kept my room nice and clean. My floor was mopped each and every day, trash was dumped, and bed was made each day! All my nurse calls was met when I rang the bell. I would go to this hospital again and again. I have always had such great experience with Memorial Regional Hospital. Bon Secours. Excellent! (2 months ago)

This hospital has been a great asset for this town, and has been commended for its excellent procedures and services. The nurses here are great, and the doctors actually know what they are doing. Not only that, but this hospital is in support of veterans and for what they fought for. So before someone writes a horrible review, read this one first before you do and hopefully this will change your mind. (2 months ago)

Sitting here in an ER room.with my Mom in law as I type. She's been here over 3 hours, and although there appears to be plenty of staff, not much is happening. Some are nice, but most won't even make eye contact. I'm NOT impressed at all. (a month ago)
