ONE OF THE WORST MEDICAL EXPERIENCES EVER!!!! I took my fiance here because she was very ill. She had a swollen throat with large puss pockets all over it along with every other sign and symptom of strep... The nurses and doctors treated us like we were nothing but a burden on them. When we did get in to see the doctor, they had not tested her for strep or flu, which are both floating around in high volumes at the time. The doctor glanced at her for less than a minute and determined that there was "nothing wrong but some sinus drainage causing her throat to hurt" and he stated that he would "not give her ANY antibiotics unless she is still sick in 10 to 14 days because there is no need." She is still VERY sick a week later so we decided to visit a different doctor at a different location. This time she was tested for strep but they said it was definitely strep long before the test came back and that it was obvious that she had had it for well over a week!!!! DO NOT GO TO BIBB COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER!!!!! (a year ago)

I must say the nurses and staff at the emergency room the majority of them are rude and careless. I not only experienced this but many others... Only one nurse I know of that works there is nice she is very caring indeed. (a year ago)

Be advised that you use the ER at Bibb Medical Associates and the doctor you see, thinks that what you went for is not an emergency issue, your claim will be charged as a clinical visit and not and ER visit. Under certain insurances in order for them to pay for a clinical visit you will need a refferal from your Primary Care Doctor, in other words, insurance will not pay for the visit but you will out of pocket.
