Went into er over memorial weekend with hives from am allergic reaction. Told them it wasn't an anaphylactic reaction and almost felt like it wasn't being treated like an emergency even though I was covered in hives on my chest, neck and face. I was the first person in the waiting room when I arrived. Almost two hours later and 3 patients before me later I got into a room. Then once in the room another hour passed and I heard someone say had the patient with hives been seen yet!? I knew that my condition could be a quick fix because it wasn't my first time in the er for an allergic reaction... Yet I sat and waited I understand they were busy, understaffed and did the best they could but my situation could have become worse as I waited to be seen. I may think twice about going to the er at this hospital again when I'm having a reaction from an unknown source. (a month ago)

Horrible service, dr lenords orthopedic office takes days to answer the phone and call someone back. Doesn't follow thru like they say they will. No considerstion for a patient having to travel 2 hours and schedule survery at 6 am when they are a single parent with a 2 year old. They dont inform you, you will have to drive back to the hospital 2 hours, to pick up a prescription, and then they promise to mail it ans 2 days of zero pain meds and there is no prescription in the mail. Several phone calls and they still refuse to pick up the phone. (4 months ago)

I've had great experiences at Bell. Even at not such great times but the staff has always been very kind and helpful. (7 months ago)

During my mother's visit to the ER, there were two other patients brought into the ER at the same time. There was only one doctor on duty and with three patients the staff seemed to be scrambling. One nurse treated us nicely while the other was extremely patronizing. If a massive multi-patient emergency occurred, I am convinced there is no way that this ER could have handled it. As it was my mother was seen after 45 minutes even though her arm was so swollen it looked like a water balloon ready to pop. The staff did the best they could, but there should have been more people manning the ER. It seems that Duke Corporate seems more concerned with bottom line profits than patient care. (a year ago)
