Outstanding patient care. I was treated with respect and patience from: the scheduling department, the admissions receptionist, registration-this bayfront associate worked from 7am until a referral issue was resolved at 845am. She was kind to me even when I became upset at potentially having to reschedule. The 2nd department, lab work, was friendly and careful with me. This department was busy but all employees still smiled and said hello. The radiology procedure was tough, but I had an associate who dedicated his time to take care of helping me prepare and recover. The radiologist was top notch. He gave me 100% confidence that I was in good hands and would be fine. CT Scans completed my tests. The CT tech was excellent at her job; and friendly to me. (a month ago)

If you have a choice, do not come here! Just had to come here because my grandma was hit by a car and it is so disgusting inside the rooms, it looks retro. I am worried about her being here, the staff is rude as well... the doctor was very polite and knowledgeable though. Also the front desk lady was insanely rude and couldn’t find my grandma’s room for 20 minutes. (in the last week)

I cannot express how helpful and comforting every person was in the hospital. Literally from the paramedic on sight to the admitting, nurses , doctors , cat scan tech all made my traumatic experience managable. I was involved in a really bad car crash and I received the best help possible. Thank you all so much! (a month ago)

My wife had same day surgery here today. We arrived at 5:15am for a 8:00am surgery and saw the pre-op nurse once. She started the IV fluids and never checked back with us. It took 1 1/2 hours before we got a pillow to make wife bit more comfortable. Staff were disrespectful and rude. I have been in health care for 37 years and have never seen such inadequate customer service. A nurse Jacqueline claimed to have been at hospital 18 years and says I will really snow your wife prior to surgery. My wife was visibly upset with minimal recognition. The nurse says you should understand since you are in health care. The family waiting room had no receptionist and no refreshments while families waited for hours . We had to stop an employee in hallway to find cups for coffee an hour later. Parking was stressful prior to surgery. No lighted signage for East garage. We drove around 6 times before I found an employee to help at 5am. We will never go back to this medical center again. Nothing but a bad taste in a health care system in St. Petersburg. I took my son to the ER for possible appendicitis. Waited over two hours for a bed. The bed we got was covered in blood under the mattress and on the side. When I showed it to the nurse he said I'm really sorry about that but never got us a clean bed. Waited three hours on the bloody bed only to be told that he was too young to be treated there. In the five plus hours we waited after checking in we talked to a nurse three times and a PA twice. Horrible experience that I feel should have been prevented. We should have been told to go across the street to the children's hospital at check in. I have pictures of the blood on the bed that I will be submitting to HHS. (a month ago)
