The best experience in hospitals Courteous personnel in general. I have been there several times in the past few years. I took my father and I have been myself 4 times in the past 3 years. They have excellent doctors with excellent bed side manners and very good personnel from nurse aids, nurses, technicians and doctors, everything including big, clean rooms with big windows and nice views. Oh, I was forgetting the emergency room with a very good service once you are inside but way too busy. Too many people for a small emergency room. Thanks God Homestead finally got a good hospital but our population is growing to fast to soon. We just need another hospital as good as this one. (2 months ago)

1 star is not even the right star... It is definitely 0!! I went there with my 3 months old daughter. She had diarrhea mixed with blood. We waited for 5 hours to be seen!! Yes, 5 hours!! I had to change everything on her every time she pooped because the diaper would just not hold it :-( my husband had to run home to get some more clothing for her. After 5 hours of waiting they finally got us in. By that time she had a rash already for all the poop she did. Back in Boston, the doctor told me she was allergic to milk protein and told me to cut everything... so I did. However, I did eat a cake that didn't say it had milk on it, and I thought that it made her sick. I told the doctor at Baptist Hospital and he told me that is not true... that nothing that I would eat would go to her by breastfeeding her. My husband questioned him saying...so, she can drink alcohol and than breastfeed the baby? He said YES!!!! Anyhow... it took them another 3 hours to let us go, and at the end the "doctor" said the results of the exams would come back only on Monday! It was Friday and she had BLOOD on her poop! And he also wrote on the papers that the reason of the visit was the rash!! On Saturday morning there was more blood... we went to Children's Hospital in Miami. They took us in immediately because she was just 3 MONTHS OLD! They did the exams and the results were back in 1 HOUR!!! She had salmonella :-( and could have died!! The doctors think that she got it by having someone touching her with duty hands because she was only on breastfeeding. Anyways, I can not even think what could have happen to her if we didn't go to the Children's Hospital. Don't go there. Drive a little if you can... at the end the ride will be worth it. 9 hours in the waiting room. We came in at 11:30 pm and didn't leave until 9:30am the next day. A PA named PAULINA DOMINGUEZ wrote that I "left against medical advise" and that she PERSONALLY tried to convince me to stay which is a complete LIE. She wrote that I left at 3:49am when I was getting an ultrasound that THEY ordered! I kept asking what we were waiting for after the ultrasound and the staff at the lobby were rude and told me I had to keep waiting without giving a good explanation. Come to find out when I spoke to other staff that they had DISCHARGED me even though I was given nothing for my pain and no one had spoken to me about the results. All they did was take blood and do an ultrasound, it should not have taken 10 hours!! The people working overnight are INCOMPETENT and UNPROFESSIONAL (a month ago)

Worst hospital ever!!!! Trust me when I say, you’re better off holding on to the pain for a few more minutes and take the drive to Kendall’s Baptist. The staff is extremely rude, inattentive, and some just don’t know what the hell they are doing . It is dirty and unsanitary. Stayed in the hospital for over 24 hours for a kidney stone and have yet to see a doctor to fix the problem. Side note, I came in exactly a week ago for the same pains and the said they couldn’t find anything, come I find out a week later there’s a 7mm kidney stone . This isn’t an angry rant. Just a friendly warning and review so no one else has to deal with it . (a month ago)

Ive gone to the er plenty of times. Theyre usually slow and instead of having to explain the problem once I have to repeat it 5 times, to the front desk, the side areas, the pa then the dr. The hospital isnt old so I would expect a better system. I also had an emergency c section. Dr. Gabb performed it and did an amazing job. My scar is low and small. I recommend him. However, everything and everyone else was slow. Im thankful that my son was born healthy. There's a lady (forgot her name but shes tall and big) in the nursery. Amazing and friendly. She told me and my husband helpful tips and took care of my son since I couldnt. Ive given two stars because theyre are some good people in there. Majority tho is slow or the quiet and serious type (which makes it seem like the worst is happening to you). (a week ago)
