Took my son last night for what turned out to be a false alarm. My son handed me an empty ibuprofen bottle but the lid was still on. I just wanted to be safe. The nurses are sweet but really it should never take people sticking a two year old because they kept messing up not once, not twice, but ended up having to stick him four times to get what they needed. They get results back saying everything is fine but then they made us wait for nearly 3 hours for my son to pee and he refused likely from being so distraught. At this point it's getting dark and I don't understand why we can't go if he is clearly fine. I have a hard time driving in the dark. They insert a catheter into my son's uncircumcised penis, rolling the skin back, against my wishes. AND THEY DIDNT EVEN NEED THE URINE. I'm hysterical at this point and thankfully the doctors switched shifts and said that everything was fine and we could go. They inserted a catheter into my child against my wishes for NOTHING. He immediately got home and peed but is having trouble now and I'm concerned enough I'll have to find another way to get him seen again because I absolutely deplore this hospital after this experience. The botching of my son's blood tests due to their own negligence and malfunctioning equipment and performing an invasive traumatizing medical procedure on a toddler for no reason is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. Totally unprofessional and negligent. The only reason I'm not giving it one star is because the nurses were very sweet despite not having handled the situation properly and the second doctor was competent enough to let us go with just the blood tests. The staff of both the ER, and outpatient services is wonderful. They truly care. I've been reading some of the reviews for ER, and I'm sad because I've experienced excellent care at the ER. Since Banner has taken over, the nursing and doctors are wonderful. Too many people forget there is an Urgent Care for "minor" emergencies. Staff has NEVER been rude to us. NEVER. (4 months ago)

If we didn't want a IV, drugs, or forced premature sac rupturing for delivery, we would have to leave the property. (3 weeks ago)

My husband had hip replacement surgery at Banner Payson Medical Center. He made the decision to have his surgery locally instead of having it done in the valley. He is very happy with his decision. He had great service starting with the pre-op staff all the way through to the nurses on his floor. We both couldn't ask for a more caring, professional staff. We are lucky to have this facility here. (9 months ago)

I spent far too much time on hold. I just wanted to update my address. Never talked with a real person. (7 months ago)
