The Emergency Dept. in this hospital is beyond a joke. The staff is rude and unprofessional, they basically tell you nothing and send you on your way, and the PA refuses to let you speak to a Dr. you just get told theres not one on staff. Even if your dying, I would risk the drive to Reno or Chico, this hospital just wants your money. (6 months ago)

I have only used facility for emergency care 3 times over the last 15 years and lab tests. I had a terrible time getting lab results sent to the provider who ordered them even after working with the lab director and hospital liaison. I filed a complaint with the corporate in Arizona regarding the poor treatment I received by an ER physician. Unfortunately they use registry providers as this is such a rural area with few providers available. I still had to pay a large bill for the agency physician and the ER visit. The last time I had to seek emergency care was a few weeks ago where I was evaluated by a PA. I followed his advice even though I have been a RN for 30 years with 15 years of emergency experience. When I followed up with my orthopedic surgeon, he was not happy with the advice I had been given and he pointed out that PAs only get 2 years of medical education. He encouraged me to follow my many years of training and experience. He noted that the radiologist's report of my x-rays done in the ER did not correlate with what he was seeing when he reviewed the X-rays. I could readily see this when he showed me the films. The regular nursing staff and ancillary staff have always been very nice, professional and appear to be well trained and knowledgeable. (10 months ago)

Horrible medical care. I spent 10 years in the military and I'm sure everyone has heard the horror stories that come from military doctors. This place is the worst I have ever been to. Incompetent and incompasionat doctors. I was dresses down as I was in extreme pain and was treated as if I was seeking drugs, they refused to find the cause of my issue and wanted to throw pain meds at my symptoms without even attempting to find the issue. I left and went to another facility immideatly I suggest you do the same if you can. (8 months ago)

Knowledgeable, professional, courteous, & they always have a positive outlook on everything.... (3 months ago)

First I was lied to--told that the colonoscopy was 100% covered by my insurance (preventative) they found a polyp sent for testing(they are found almost always)sent to lab(non -cancerous)--coverage changes now I must pay 20% my bill was in excess -$13,850 my share $2300 no one monitors this hospital----lied too and my bill was ran up! Just got home yesterday -my wife had a colonoscopy and upper GI at Digestive Health Associates located in Reno,Nevada --her total bill was $1180--and that includes sending a polyp to be tested same as me--don't trust these guys (banner health)there is better health providers in the area and economical)--needs to be an entity that monitors these hospitals!!outrageous bill charging Banner Lassen (a year ago)
