My mother had been admitted after experiencing chest pains and arrhythmia for over 12 hours; we were told by Banner Urgent Care at Gilbert and McKellips that a cardiologist at Banner Desert recommended, based on her EKGs, that my mother be sent to Banner Baywood for tests to determine if the problem was caused by ischemia. After some bloodwork and a chest x-ray Dr. Marc Zosky decided that there was nothing really wrong with her and there was no point in keeping her overnight, and he did not recommend that she see a cardiologist. He was dismissive of my mother's condition and of the concerns I raised, and seemed bored and slightly irritated that he was being questioned. Zosky had to be browbeaten into reversing his decision to discharge her and put her under a cardiologist's overnight observation, and it was clear that he was only doing so to humor me. I've seen bed bugs with a better bedside manner than Zosky's. (2 weeks ago)

5 stars!!! No doubt! My recent stay with Banner Heart was incredible. Of the 70 or so people I came in contact with, absolutely 100% of them were awesome. Rachel, my day nurse, stood out as a wonderful, caring person. She took care of me like I was family. My night nurses aide for two nights, Suzi, was just as wonderful. If I ever have to go back, I'd love to have those to caring for me again. I don't mean to detract from my praise for those two by saying that every other person attending to me was incredible, too, though they were only with me one shift. Even they, the one shifters, were incredible, including Cory, the young man who checked me in in the middle of the night, to May, the night nurse on my last night, to the young ladies who wheeled me to the Cath Lab, to the cleaning crew who cleaned my room and bathroom. Even the other people on the floor that weren't assigned to me made me feel like I was the reason they were there. While my nurse or assistant was busy elsewhere, they covered for them at every turn. Even the floor leaders, the "Boss Of the ward" so to speak, were wonderful to me. I'm sorry I don't remember all of their names, but everyone was awesome. And to Dr. Sorof and her staff; your entire crew gave me confidence going through an entirely new situation. I had the utmost confidence in what you all were doing. Thank you so much. (3 months ago)

Nursing staff was very competent and most of all made me feel at ease. Rachel, who is a traveling nurse, was the best! Also, the aide Haley was absolutely wonderful! These women should be praised for the hard work they do everyday. Thanks again to all of you. (6 months ago)

My mother came here several yrs ago and it was known as a number one heart hospital. I've read the ranking on narional ranking and it speaks we'll. Now I and I know many many. People will read other people reviews before going to a hospital If they have time. And from what I have read I would be so afraid to go there for my life. Now I went for a full hysterectomy in 2006 when I came out of surgery for 2 days I tossed turned screamed that the pain machine was messed up. It took two days of excrushiating pain for them to finely really check it out and the maching was only dispencing pain meds once every 12 hrs. How horrifying. I got a letter stating they would train the fourth Floor on how to use those machines. Also I went in the other day to er for a panic attack. Ever had one horrible. It was warm in there crowded. Hospitals are supposed to be cool to keep sicknesses down and from spreading. What is going on at this place. What I've read and what I have experienced are two different things. How can the people believe anyone it andnkr put their lives in the hands of people that are supposed to be very very experienced and I left to go to another hospital. Id rather travel having a severe panic attack than to sit there and be more afraid of getting sicker or even dying. Please take all the money u make there remodel pay people better than them before mistakes are made. And treat people like you really wanted to get into that profession.dont act like you hate what you chose to do. Maybe should have listenwd to parents to makebsure of your life choice.
