Recently we had a family member in for a few weeks and most of the staff were amazing. We had a few issues with finding out information but I knew if I got one of the good staff I was in for a good day. To name a few good ones I would have to say that Abigail, Robert, Bethany and Cassy were very helpful. I tried not to be in their way and they never seemed to mind my asking tons of questions. I honestly believe if it hadn't been for this hospital my mother would not have made it. I am grateful for her second chance. Thank you all for what you've done for my family. (a month ago)

I delivered my baby here on 04/30. When I came in, Cassey was great with helping me. She has a great sense of humor and definitely made me feel comfortable. I came in at about 6:10pm on 04/29. My first nurse, Megan, is a godsend. She is by far the best person I had with me through my entire experience. She was so caring, so welcoming, hilarious, and just perfect. Unfortunately, she wasn't with me when I delivered my baby, I had Jami. Jami is very knowledgeable and protective, which are great qualities, but she's outwardly judgemental. I didn't want to breastfeed and although that is a controversial topic, it's my decision. She immediately questioned me as to why I would want to do that, which made me incredibly uncomfortable through the rest of my stay with her. Don't get me wrong, she knows what she's doing and she's good, she's probably just a better fit for someone with more conservative outlooks on life. My other two nurses who I was after delivery were great as well. Overall, 10/10, amazing place to have your baby. (2 months ago)

I am diabetic, I went in because I had a severe bruise on my left foot, unable to walk on it. Doctor came in and spent less than 15 seconds looking at it. I asked him if he could relieve the pain by releasing the pressure on the bruise by opening it up. He said he couldn't because I was diabetic. I got my prescription and got ready to leave. As I walk out I passed out. The nurses got me a wheelchair while I waited outside for my ride. I was at the hospital for about 3.5 hours never once did they they check my blood sugars. When my driver arrived he said I look terrible, he said something was wrong with me. HE took me immediately to another Hospital in Chandler where they checked my blood sugar it was at 48.They immediately started on IV with fluids and glucose. After 15 minutes I felt fine. Obviously Banner Desert made a terrible mistake which could have cost me my life. I sure they have great doctors, but the one who took care of me that day was not. Clearly a good doctor can save your life. But in my case a bad doctor could have cost me my life. I will be following this up with a hospital administrator. (a month ago)

I had to get an MRI and I am claustrophobic, In my opinion I feel that I had the highest medical professional team a hospital could offer. The anesthesiologist Dr.Tian was Great and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Megan the Nurse was also very good at helping me get ready for my procedure. There were other hospital staff in the room and they were all great. I also would like to mention the Medical Director: Laura Robertson who helped facilitate my appointment and made things much easier for me. I want to thank Banner Desert Medical Center for the wonderful experience. (2 months ago)

I just wanted to take this time to give the staff in ICU at Banner Desert Hospital a great BIG thank you. I had a family member there in the ICU and I can not even start to tell in words the COMPASSION and CARE we had for our family member. I am truly glad that we were treated so very nice. They truly do CARE about their patients. And unfortunately my niece passed away, and there was more COMPASSION AND CARE for us. When she passed, the staff brought in drinks and snacks for all that were in the room with her. The staff gave us time to grieve with her. Not once did any of us feel rushed in making any decisions. Again a great BIG THX to all the ICU staff that helped care for my niece. ROOM 223 05/07-05/15/2018 (2 months ago)
