The doctor's and nurses have mostly been good, but the ER definitely needs improvement. Wednesday I received a message that my Dad had been taken from his doctor's office in Carrollton to the hospital by ambulance. When I arrived, I quickly found that there is NO place for family members to get information without waiting in the line for the triage nurse. As I spent an hour standing in line waiting, found myself wondering WHY, I, a perfectly healthy human being who didn't need triage, should be taking the space (and time) away from people behind me who did. But, it was the ONLY way to find out about my dad. The one saving grace (IF you want to call it that) is that I had the opportunity to assist an 83 year old gentleman in front of me who had been placed in a wheel chair by security upon his arrival then promptly dumped in the line and abandoned by staff. Just about to leave from the birthing center after the birth of my daughter. Upon arrival we were informed that the unit was full and we might not get a room. Needless to say, we were concerned. The triage nurse sensed our fear and within the hour we had a room. From that point on, every nurse, doctor and staff member were wonderful. We couldn't have been more informed, assured and loved. Thank you to all who were involved in the wonderful arrival of baby Scarlett! Matthew, Audrey and Scarlett (a month ago)

Wow!, I had excellent customer service this afternoon, when a person in another department decided to be RUDE and obviously couldn’t answer a simple question before hanging up on me! So I call back and was given a number to share my complaint. I received a call back almost immediately, from a very nice lady that apologized for my earlier ordeal with the other department, she was able to answer my original question plus offer further instructions that would assist me in the future. I was pleased with the way things were handled. She was able to turn a negative situation, into a positive 😊 (in the last week)

First time at Aultman and came for outpatient gallbladder surgery. It was perfect from the time I walked in to when I left. Great staff! Nurse very understanding to me being chicken with needles. We even had a good laugh over it. The surgery assistants, anesthesiologist, nurses, other staff, even the young man who came to get me from my room before surgery were so friendly and put my mind at ease. They made a stressful experience so much easier. My biggest fear was being sick from anesthesia in recovery and they took care of it. First time ever that I didn't get sick from it. They listened! The surgeon made sure I had what I needed for comfort at home for nausea. If I ever need another outpatient surgery, I'll be back. Thank you for the great care! (3 months ago)

Spent a week in Aultman after contracting Lyme disease. Everyone involved in my care was outstanding. Thank you Aultman Hospital. (in the last week)
