The ER is very good here in my opinion for most things from basic to moderate. If it's severe they usually try to get you to PRMC in the past, but AGH is making major strides in the quality of care. Now they have similar if not better doctors on staff/in their on call network that can do what is needed. If it's deemed in your best interest, they will take you to PRMC by ambulance or discharge you after your capable, and you can then check in through PRMCs emergency department. Update, went into ER. Care was good. Doctor was knowledge. I thought the care decisions were accurate.I was satisfied with the results. Was there a total of 2-3 hours. (in the last week)

Ridiculous I need to pay for horrible service... I was sent home with a handful of pills... went home saw a REAL doctor and found out my issue.... ags sent me home with a note saying we don't know what is wrong with you.... went in with a back issue... couldn't walk couldn't stand up... and the veternarian... excuse me sorry case called a doctor did no imaging.... he didn't "think" it was serious... wonder why there is prescription drug abuse... go to atlantic general there is a reason!!! I wouldn't take a sick rabid racoon here to get help!!! Oh went to a real doctor... took images and found out EXACTLY what was wrong with me and working through rehabilitation now... not with useless drugs... (a month ago)

Not professional at all. Yesterday was my third time going to the ER the first two was for my daughter and this time was me. My first two to experiences were good but this last time not much. I didn't like whoever the person was who came to take my IV off because she never introduced herself. After she removed the IV, she took my vitals and put the cuff around the same arm where I had my IV and I had blood splashing all over. I took the cuff off and she said " hold on don't make a mess" seriously?? It as already a mess. I asked her if she could give me a wipe to wape my arm off and she ignored me and wiped my arm with the blanket! At that point all I wanted to do was just leave because I felt more safe outside then inside this hospital. People in charge really need to do something about this situations that are happening. They need real professionals. Hire real nurses please! that ones who truly care and advocade for their patients! (4 months ago)

Had a great experience at this hospital. I went to the er because I had some infected bug bites, with a rash stretching up my arm. I was taken back and treated with an antibiotics within an hour of arriving, which is a record (ER visits have always taken me at least 4 hours). The doctor recommended I spend the night there for a few more doses of antibiotics via IV, so I was promptly moved to an inpatient room for the night. The night shift nurse (Jennifer) and technician (jack) were great. They were extremely competent and seemed genuinely concerned. Getting discharge papers did take forever, but that's been my experience in every hospital. Other than that AGH has set a high bar in terms of patient care. (6 months ago)

Came to the emergency room with an ankle injury while on vacation from out of state. The staff in every area of the emergeny department (reception, nursing, tech, pa, etc.) were excellent and attentive. They got me out of there in no time. I will never forget how nice they were. Thank you so much. (7 months ago)
