Location and Directions

The doctors, nurses and staff are very friendly and caring. The facility is beautiful and clean. Great care for our loved one going through a difficult time. (a month ago)

Most rud an disrespectful place ive been i went out side ro have a smoke after 4 hours an they wouldnt let me back in the room where i was at next time ill take my girl to st.joes hopital (a week ago)

Spent most my time in the maternity ward visiting a relative. Was very impressed by how nice and spacious the rooms were. The staff was amazing! If I could get pregnant I would go there. (4 months ago)

I took my veteran father to Arnot for severe leg pain and swelling. He has a history of diabetes cellulitis and blood clots. They did no blood work, did nothing for his pain, the resident doctor told me he didn’t need blood work and he doesn’t think it’s cellulitis by looking at his leg and feeling it. He’s 76 years old! They opted to just do an ultrasound to check for a blood clot. Even the ultrasound tech asked if they gave him anything for pain!!! Nope! Nurse Jill, who came on at 11 asked did they order any labs? Nope! I asked the resident doctor why they are not checking his labs for infection and he told me he could check my blood and it will probably show elevated white blood cells! Well I’m sick so yeah maybe duh! Needless to say they sent him packing and told him get ahold of the VA in 1-2 days don’t wait longer because it could be cellulitis??!!! I said why not give him antibiotics then to treat it??? He said because we can’t treat it if we don’t know that’s what it is. I said what is it then and he pretty much said he didn’t know why his leg was severely swollen and in pain and red!!! I took my father home only for him to call me today in severe pain and have to take him to Bath VA. When they asked him about the hospital the first thing they said was what did the blood work show? They were furious to find out he didn’t have blood work done and told him it should have been done before an ultrasound. Guess what...he has cellulitis and needs an hour and a half IV antibiotics and a round to take home!!!! This all could have been avoided if the doctors weren’t in such a damn hurry to free the ER up for the next patient! The only person in that ER worth recognition was the amazing man who helped my father from his vehicle, into the ER, into the bathroom and then at the end of it all helped get him back to his vehicle. Even he was shaking his head that they sent him home with nothing and wasted his time!!! The one star is for you sir. You deserve a raise. Thank you and only you for your kindness. Update after I posted this the doctors at the VA the attending and the admitting kept my father there and he has to stay. They were afraid he would lose his leg. Thanks for nothing Arnot you almost cost my father his leg & ability to live on his own!! They are repeating the ultrasound as well since it was done so half-hazard at the hospital and CT scanned his leg to make sure he didn’t have an infection in his bone. The doctor said and I quote “We are going to keep him here so he can get the care he SHOULD have received to begin with!! (2 months ago)

Wonderful, great people. Had a blood sample taken. (2 weeks ago)
