Well as for me there were the best careing the way they treated my son as well as for me was great ..I was there from Stockton . Had no family no we're to stay or sleep they help me I stayed there at the hospital. With my son plus help me with food I had 30 cents in my pocket .when I got here and I'm still here. They are the best recommended to any son is very well taken care of the way these nurses are gives me peace.i thank God for such a great staff (3 weeks ago)

Alvarado Hospital should be put out of business. I had the worst experience there! Fluid not given, even though tests showed I was dehydrated, medicine was supposedly ordered, but never dispensed to me. Staff was apathetic. The hospital itself should be condemned. It’s outdated and dilapidated. My room was horrible. Chunks of plaster missing from the walls, broken, missing and filthy blinds, dirty floor and walls painted pea soup green. Nothing about this place gave me a feeling of safety, security or healing. I would give a zero star rating if I could. Run, don’t walk, if you are sent to Alvarado Hospital! (in the last week)

Have you ever seen the "People of Walmart" photos? This was my first impression and nothing in our stay at the emergency room changed that. My husband arrived in an ambulance and was there for an hour without any medical attention. His nurse had told the doctor that his vitals were good. His oxygen level was at 91 with an oxygen mask on his face. I had to argue with his "nurse" about getting treatment. Within five minutes of the argument the doctor and respiratory were treating him. When his "nurse" was filling the syringe with the medicines, he cleared the air and sent liquids all over the hallway floors. I had never seen that before. We have been to a lot of ER's for my husband's asthma attacks but this one was one of the worst. (2 weeks ago)

While busy, the emergency room was still able to x-ray my broken hand and wrap it up in under two hours. Staff was caring and facility was clean. They were able to transfer records to another doctor in a timely manner, although I highly recommend getting your records before you leave if you anticipate needing them as getting the paperwork and signing forms in their records department is necessary after the fact.
