I had my baby here they have good staff there. I was there alone the took away my fear, they wear very comforting in my time of need. Thank you so much A.G.H (in the last week)

This is the ABSOLUTE worst hospital I’ve ever been too. Clearly not one person in this facility knows what they are doing!! The nurses and doctors in the ER are none to quick to get anything done. And THEN my boyfriend was sent home when he was to get emergency eye surgery that night! These people are a joke and have not one idea what they are doing!! This hospital deserves negative stars. Would not recommend this place to ANYONE! (a month ago)

I came here when I began bleeding 13 weeks into my pregnancy. We waited 3 hours to be seen. The room they brought us to was still dirty and we had to stand in the hall for them to toss new sheets on the bed. The transport person walked into my room without knocking and said "I'm taking you to your test." I still hadn't seen anyone except the nurse who took a brief intake on my issue. This transport person didn't bother to tell me her name or where the hell I was even going. So I was rolled down the hallway with bloody sheets for all to see. When I returned the nurse gave me one of the most painful pelvic exams of my life and nonchalantly said, "Well, its not the best news but you're miscarrying. It could also be an ectopic pregnancy because we couldn't view your right ovary on the ultrasound. So schedule and appointment in the next couple days with your gynecologist." I explained I had an appointment but the soonest they could get me in was in 3 weeks. She said that was fine and left the room. I had so many questions. I was emotional. This nurse did not care. My partner and I were crying in the room and some random guy walked in, without knocking and told us we had to leave because there was someone waiting for the room. I will never come back to this hospital. It was dirty, the staff was rough, unprofessional and uncaring. I didn't feel safe here. Never again. Go to Magee or Passivant. Because I couldn't get in to my gynecologist, 2 days later I ended up at Magee with a massive hemorrhage and an emergency D&C. Go anywhere but here. (a week ago)

This is the WORST hospital ever. They don't care about their patients. They just do whatever to their patient and let something happen to them. Then when something bad goes wrong, they don't try to fix it. They try to avoid talking the the families of the patient. Then they try to send the patient home with something wrong with them. I will be sueing. Nobody ever come here. Save your family member. Smh. (in the last week)

I am a current patient at Allegheny General Hospital. I can say my doctors are wonderful. My nursing staff on the other hand forget it. I am definitely not happy with the care received. Have never experienced anything like this. As an aide I am very disappointed in the way they allow their employees to treat patients, my girls I over see for my job would not be tolerated if they provided this type of care. Don't even bother with the call button, you'll be waiting a good bit of time before anyone sees you. I was left in a hair for 3 hours and kept calling for someone to get me to my bed because the pain was becoming unbearable. I got a reply at the end of the three hours that the nurses were doing shift change.. even though I had been calling since 20 minutes after being put in the chair by PT. Tonight I was told stop hitting the call button. And at this point I had realized I should had asked for a hospital transfer when I got here and had problems. I sat in my own urine multiple times for a lengthy period, I haven't been properly bathed all but one time by probably the only two useful aides they have. Today my nurse brought me wipes to bath myself... I about cried because I can't even imagine the care other patients receive. Don't even bother talking to a social worker, I've asked to speak to one multiple times and only seen her once. All and all my doctors are the only ones I have any type of gratitude for and not even a hand full of nurse and 3 aides. Nurse B. Megan and Nurse Heather are wonderful (4 months ago)
